but then I would remember what I did with the time that I hadn't spent with a significant other – I had worked on myself. I'd honed my drawing skills, travelled, panelled at SDCC (!), graduated with a law degree, and built up a portfolio while doing all that which was strong enough to get me admitted into an MFA programme in the fall of 2020. I had become someone I was proud of and was confident enough to know that I didn't need to chase after people to fortify my self-esteem – I was someone who had accomplished many things in their own right and if people chose to pass up on me as a romantic option that was, in essence, their loss.
