it's hard to stand by those words every moment of every day and sometimes I do still falter. recently I went through a romantic situation that ended with me being hurt and confused. it took a while for me to be able to see myself as I did back when I was at my most confident, and to remember once more that sometimes relationships really don't work out, whether due to timing or disposition or just bad fucking luck. but I took some time off from the person and from even thinking about relationships again, and came back to the same realisations.
