Work had been like an avalanche for Chan.  He stayed up long nights barely getting any sleep, and his stress didn't help that either.  

It was Saturday, Chan's day off. He figured he would just sleep all day so he would have some energy the next day.  Chan was awake at midnight scrolling through the many channels on the TV.

He stopped scrolling when he saw that The Little Mermaid, was on.  He instantly remembered Hyunjin and didn't even bother to put a shirt on. He ran across the parking lot through his neighborhood and to the beach.  

He was out of breath and laying on a rock. "Hyunjin!" He yelled.  "Hyunjin!"  He stood on the rock and looked out into the ocean. 

"Where were you?" He heard a voice from behind him.  To his delight, he saw the merman, only the top of his hand though.  "I had, a lot of work...I'm sorry." Chan said, sitting on the rock near Hyunjin.  "I was worried..." Hyunjin mumbled.  "Why? you barely know me."  Chan said.  "And you barely know me yet here we are." Hyunjin said, climbing onto the rock next to Chan.  

Chan stared at Hyunjin from head to fin.  "What?" Hyunjin asked, looking as Chan weirdly. "I'm just, I'm sorry." Chan said, inching his hand closer to Hyunjin's. "I forgive you." Hyunjin said, gripping Chan's hand in his.
