Why can't you delete your past?

Just take everything unwanted and throw it away, never to be seen again.

Why can't you at least delete the memories you're left with?

One can work so hard to forget, only to be reminded of it unexpectedly, hitting them like a ton of bricks.

It'll fade. It will. Just as the heavy clouds eventually leave, revealing the beauty of the clouds behind them.

But that doesn't mean it won't rain again.
