So Matay finally cracked the code... somehow. Both her and Buna were born and raised in what is now Germany.
I wanted to pick a location where I had some ancestry, and since I don't think Neanderthals ever migrated to Ireland or Scotland, Germany was next on the list.
I just went to google translate for this, so hopefully I got it right:
