Fun fact is that this comic is already outdated bc what I've gathered now they make brain cells photosensitive and use light to stimulate them. At least for visual prostheses in V1. Bc electrodes can cause damage? There was news a bit ago about them making some softer electrodes a while back so it's not like it isn't done it's just that it probably woudn't be realistic in the time this comic is set in. Whoopsie
