The pain was unbearable, Dagger's chest felt like it was being crushed. His bones felt like they were breaking. Dagger let out a gasp of pain; he wanted to scream. But he knew that his throat wouldn't let him.
"Dagger!" Said Zachariah, "you need to shift! Stop fighting it and let it happen!" Shift? What was he talking about? Dagger felt his body break. Shift? As in like shape-shift? Easier said than done. How? How was he supposed to know how to shift? Dagger renched as the car hit a ditch.
"Sorry!" Called Henry, "Dagger you ok?" Dagger answered with a groan. Ok? Really, he was dying in the back of Henry's car! How could he be ok? Let it happen, stop fighting it. Dagger didn't know how, his whole body hurt. Every bone, every muscle, every bloody cell ached. Dagger gasped as an electrifying pain shot through his limbs.
Dagger, whispered a voice. Stop fighting. The voice was soothing and smooth. Stop fighting. He let his body go limp and turned off all his thoughts.
Be vulnerable to the pain, the voice whispered. The electrifying pain grew dim and warm. Popping sounds echoed through the car. Dagger felt his body change and fur sprout all over his body. The fur, when he looked at it, was a dark red. The same color of his hair. Minutes passed and the feeling went away. Dagger let out a whimper as Zachariah turned around in his seat. His eyes lit up as he looked at Dagger.
"You're a wolf."
