Chapter 1 ‘A New Beginning

“Ughhh mom why can't i learn magic!” Ryder continues his endless tantrums, to the point lauralenne is tired of it. “Ryder sweetie me and your father do not possess any basic spells, you see when we left our magic evolved '' Lauralenne decides to lie, i mean what else is she gonna tell a toddler.

“Mom im not dumb, in order to evolve your power you must learn the basics.” Ryder said, he sounded so sure and Lauralenne stayed quiet and rolled her eyes. “Like the wind cut, the fire blade, water smash, psychic touch, electric hit, dragon boom, Meteor shower, Force field, Portal cut, ogre slash, and-” Ryder takes a deep breath, and as he tries to continue Lauralenne stepped in.

“Okay look magic isn't as easy as you say, study it all you want but i won't teach you til you turn 7.” Lauralenne was very irritated, most of the basics Ryder listed she didn't even know about. “Mom we don't live in the capital! So you can teach me” Ryder wouldn't let it slide, he really wanted to learn.

“Alright, alright, alright. We will teach you magic, and I'll take you to come and help me” Fabien walked in, he'd been leaning on the door hearing Ryder's tantrums and was sick of them. “But you need to confess that you've stolen all my books and grimoires, read them, and hid them.” Fabien knew that's told them, but if he was able to confess, Ryder's wishes would come true.

“Well yes but i-” Before defending himself his father interrupted him, and gave him a very stern look. “Those were special, 5 of the spells you listed don't exist.” The room turned into such a dark aura, so much Lauralenne was affected by it.

“You decided to take a sneak peak around my office, and that sneak peak turned into reading every single book in there” Fabien wasn't mad but he was concerned. “Ryder tomorrow you will learn the basics, but you are not to show anyone” Ryder was jumping and he was very over-excited.

Ryder was fast asleep. After that Lauralenne did not approve of this ‘new idea’ “Fabien im not sure about this”,“it's against all that we learnt in the capital” Fabien just looked at her. “Laura you heard it we aren't in the capital anymore, we need to move on” They both smiled and left Ryders room…
