The drive to QHGPT took us 8 hours, we left at 2 am, man I envy people with nocturnal transforms sometimes. Move in started at 10, when we arrived they had us move all our belongings into this huge gymnasium, there were bleachers all around us, but there was something strange about the floor it looked like a dark concrete but it had a give to it when I jumped but none while walking. Strange. They gave us our spot numbers and told us to put our belonging at our spots, say goodbye to our families, and hang out until we were instructed otherwise. I was in spot 224, and Bex was in 225, she thought that it must be our fate, I disagree, we enrolled at the same time and thats my theory. We were the first there, so all the moving assistants helped with moving our stuff. By the time we had finished moving our belongings more students had arrived.

Couple students stood out to me, one was a tall male with dirty blonde hair, he was fairly well built, and wore a PVT jacket. His spot was 227, so he passed by me a couple times while moving his items, there were about 10 guys helping him. I tried to say hi, but he ignored me and walked other to another guy wearing a PVT jacket.

“Yeah, he can be like that. His name’s Libyrinth, he’s an Alpha bare-wolf-transform. He placed 5th in PVT’s ratings, but he’s a pretty big showoff and really flashy. The quickest way to beat him is to distract him with a flashy move one way, get up close for the kill. Pretty easy if you ask me.”

I turned around to see who was talking to me. There stood a girl, she was a couple inches shorter than me, her hair was a dirty blonde color with loose curls that went down her back and past her butt. She was really pretty, and she had a good body. She was built, she looked like she could bench more than me, I was really shocked when I saw her and stood there with my mouth open, probably looking like an idiot.

“I’m Lillith, I went to PVT, thats why I know so much about him. And you are?” She smiled as she talked.

“Oh…. Sorry… ummm I’m Juniper, Beta fox-transform. It’s nice to meet you.” I can’t believe it, I’m an idiot. I just stared straight at her without introducing myself, I stammered as I replied, and held my hand out.

She looked a little shocked at my hand, but then replied with “Well, it’s nice to meet you too.”

“Sooooo, where’s your spot? Do you need any help moving you stuff?”

“My spot is number 223, and thanks for the offer, but my stuffs already been moved.” She smiled and turned to show me her spot.

“ That’s good. So what’s your…..”

“Hey! I’m Bexley!” Bex interrupted, she looked at Lillith with a smile, then turned to me and whispered “ why did you leave me? I got approached by some asshat in a PVT uniform and had no backup. I look over to find you and your over here flirting it up with some rando?!”

“Bex. What are you talking about? I’m just having a decent conversation with her, what are you jealous that I can talk to another girl without turning into a snail?” I whispered back, hoping to shut her up.

“Well I never thought it’d be this easy for you to do that, for as long as I’ve known you, you don’t talk to girls, let alone pretty tall girls that have muscle tone and good bodies. Usually you would have burst into a ball of…”

“Ummm…. I’m sorry, there must be a misunderstanding. You said your name was Bexley, correct? I’m Lillith, it’s nice to meet you. I’m in spot 223, I just thought that Juniper looked like a nice guy and would be nice to talk to. Aaaand I wanted to apologize to him for Libryinths rudeness before.” Lillith smiled warmly, as she explained to Bex what was going on.

“Oh. Well okay then. Sorry about being kinda rude too, Juniper and I went to the same school, so we are pretty close. But hey. Why would you apologies for that asshat’s rudeness, you’re not his girlfriend are you?” Bex smiled her usual smile and I new she was gonna try to become friends with Lillith now.

“Oh no, no, no, no. Um I went to PVT with Libryinth, so I know him all to well. And well, I don’t want PVT to get a bad rep from him.” As she talked, I could tell that wasn’t the whole truth, she seamed to know more about him then as just as a classmate. But everyone has something to hide in life. So I didn’t pry any further, and luckily Bex is way to dense to notice anything like.

The 3 of us talked there for an hour or so, Lillith seamed to be really nice. She was quiet, but defiantly wasn’t shy, she was fairly open about everything we asked her and if she didn’t want to answer she told us, either saying it was a long story or she wasn’t very open about it. After a while, I heard some foot steps come up behind Lillith and me, as I turned to look at who it was, they put their arm around Lillith and said in a loud rough voice “ Well, what do we have here. Why aren’t you hanging with the group we all have been waiting for you Lillith? All 19 of us. Why are you over here with these nobodies? You should be with us. Zander truly misses you, he hasn’t seen you all summer, well neither have I thou. You know, maybe you just didn’t see us. Hmmmm?” It was Libryinth, I noticed as he stood next to me that he wasn’t much taller than me at all, but him and Lillith resembled each other.

“Why don’t you get your arm off me, tuck your tail between your legs, and run off back to your old pack, before I rip off your arm Lib.” Lilith responded, she was pissed. “And while you’re at it apologize for your idiotic behavior earlier today, why don’t you? You disgraceful beast.”

Libryinth looked shocked at first, but once what she said settled in, he looked pissed as well. His grasped tightened on Lillith’s shoulder and he started whispering something in her ear. He was to quiet for either me or Bex to hear. He was pissing me off, he should have just left when she told him to. He wanted her to follow him around like he was a god or something. He started to smirk as he whispered to Lillith, at this I snapped. I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him a little away from Lillith.

I whispered into his ear “Why don’t you just leave her alone. She clearly doesn’t want to be around you, so just fucking leave before I make you.”

He chuckled and said “Like you could make me leave” as he threw me back. “Man how are you gonna even protect her or anyone if you can’t take a punch? Huh? What type of crackpot school did you come from? Did they teach you to be a little ppp-“

Before I new what happened, Lillith had pushed him to the ground, had her knee in his spine, and his left arm behind his back. Her eyes, which usually are a soft hazel, shined a brilliant red they raised even more questions.

“Do you honestly think you can say that to someone you don’t even know yet? Do I really need to contact Ash already? I will. I really didn’t think that you would want to humiliate yourself today, I thought you’d at least wait till we get to a training class. Remember I outrank you in every possible way, I could kill you with my eyes closed, half asleep, with one arm tied behind my back. Don’t think for even a second that you can come after one of friends. Like I said go back to your old pack with your tail between your legs.” Lillith had snapped at this point.

“Fine, just get off of me!” Libryinth responded. Lillith released him from her grip and stood up. He scrambled up and ran off back to where he came from.

After he ran off, I looked around, the gym was almost full of students and their belongings. No one really seamed to notice was just happened. I was so relieved. When Lillith came back over to Bex and I, she apologized for her actions and for Libryinth, pretty much for his entire existence. Bex and I laughed it off, and Bex started asked Lillith questions about how she did that. But I noticed when Lillith looked back at me and Bex her eyes faded back to hazel. Bex didn’t notice I don’t think, if she did she was smart enough to not ask Lillith about it.

We sat and talk for a while longer, a voice over the intercom interrupted and silenced the whole room “EXCUSE ME, THANK YOU FOR COMING TO ORIENTATION 1ST YEARS! WE WILL BE BEGINNING SHORTLY. WE ASK YOU TO PLEASE CHANGE INTO THE UNIFORMS WE HANDED OUT. THEN FIND A SEAT IN THE AUDITORIUM THREW THE DOORS ON YOUR RIGHT. ONCE EVERYONE IS SEATED WE WILL BEGIN. THANK YOU.”

Once the intercom clicked off everyone ran off to the lockers to change. I picked up the uniform box they handed to me when we checked in and went of to the lockers. The uniform was fairly basic, ash grey slacks, a white button up, and a black tie, I was wearing black combat boots before they sent up to change, so I went on and threw them back on. Libryinth and a group of PVT guys where changing near me, they mostly had dress shoes, but like who would even think about bringing those. While I was redoing my low pony, one of the PVT guys came over to me.

“Hey, I was in Lillith’s pack back at PVT, the names Alexzander.” He grinned, he was shorter than me, had short black hair, and deep violet eyes. He held his hand out waiting for me to respond to him and shake his hand.

I reached out my hand to shake his and said “Hi, I’m Juniper. Ummm… why did you tell me about Lillith and your pack at PVT?”

He looked kinda nervous when I asked that, but I just wanted to know why, “Well… I saw you talking to her earlier, her and I, we used to be really good friends, and because of Libryinth I kinda feel like I lost her trust. Over summer we didn’t get to talk and I was kinda worried about her. And I thought if we could also be friends, it would give her even more reason to trust me again.”

“But why go to me? I just meet her. And what did you do to lose her trust in the first place?” I was so confused. Did Libryinth put him up to this? Or is he really just concerned for her?

“Oh… well… so… ummm… I told you we were in a pack together, but we also grew up together, so we have a lot of history together. And the day after graduation from PVT we got in an argument and she kinda ran off into the woods and left for the summer. No one knew where she ran off to, and she didn’t contact everyone over the summer. We didn’t know wether or not she was coming to school this year, so it was a surprise when I saw her. And she usually doesn’t talk to much to people she just meet unless she really trusts them, so that’s why I came to you and didn’t go straight up to her. And I don’t know whether or not she’s still mad at me.” Alexzander seamed to fidget a lot when he told me this. He really was just concerned.

“Okay, okay… fine, I get it. You don’t need to be so tense, she’s seams fine.” I honestly don’t know what I’m suppose to do in this situation, man why can’t this be in the gym, Bex would jump right in and steer the conversation.” Do you want to hang with us for orientation? If you were friends before I don’t think she'd really mind that much.”

His eyes lit up? He kinda looked like a sad little puppy dog before now, but now he’s like sparkling!

“Really? I can really hang with you guys? You’re not joking right?” Alexzander was practically jumping from excitement.

“Yeah I’m not joking, you really can hang out with us.” What have I gotten myself into? “Wait, what is your transform? And whats Lillith’s? She never told us.”

“Oh, well I’ll tell you mine, but Lillith likes to keep hers on the down low, I honestly don’t understand that part of her, but I’m sure she’ll tell you when she knows you better. Anyways, I’m an alpha jade-dragon-transform!” He grinned when he told me.

“That’s really cool! I’ve never meet a dragon! I’m just a beta fox-transform, nothing too fancy, my friend Bex is a leopard-transform. But man, you must be really something, your stats must be really high.”

“Oh, yeah they are, but that’s all thanks to Lillith. She’s the one who lead the pack to the top ten in school, but we studied together before that, so it all goes to her. And don’t sell yourself short. Fox-transforms are really good in the field, they can blend in easier and usually have an easier time sneaking around.” His eyes seamed like they were off in a dreamland whenever he spoke about Lillith, but he snapped back to reality when he changed subjects.

We walked back to the gym together, as we walked out we saw Bex and Lillith already changed and waiting on us. Their uniforms were similar, they had on ash grey skirts, white button ups, and black ties. Bex had her usually colorful socks on and her tennis-shoes. While Lillith has her sleeves rolled up to her elbow, had ash grey socks that came up past her knees, and a pair of worn-out black combat boots. When they saw us, Bex smiled and waved, and Lillith nodded our direction.

“You two ready?” Lillith asked us, we both nodded, “alrighty then, lets go on in.” As we walked into the hall, seats everywhere wear filling up, we searched for somewhere all four of use could sit together. “There!” Lillith shouted before running up the stairs and down one of the isles. I saw where she was headed, four seats untouched, at the edge of the seats sat Libryinth, why him of all people. “Hey Zander! Get your ass up here and become a barrier! I’m not sitting by this lowlife!” Lillith yelled through the crowd.

“Alright, alright, I’m on my way!” Alexzander yelled back as he made his was up the stairs and down the isle Lillith was in. He passed by Lillith, and sat down by Libryinth.

Lillith was about to sit down by Alexzander, when she looked over at Bex and I standing there. She looked like she chuckled before she called out to us “Hey! Are you guys coming or what!” She smirked, just as if she knew we were waiting for an invitation to join. Bex and I made our way up the stairs and down the isle quickly. When we got there I sat down next to Lillith, and Bex sat next to me.

Not long after we sat down, the lights in the auditorium started to dim. The auditorium went completely dark, everyone in the crowd had gone quiet. Suddenly a spotlight appeared in the middle of the stage, and standing in the spotlight was a older man with light blond hair, he wore what looked like our uniform but he had a vest on as well. He smiled at us all and said “Welcome to Quith’s Hunter and Gather Primary Training School!”
