“Welcome to Quith’s Hunter and Gather Primary Training school! You will be spending the next five years here, learning how to be either a Hunter or a Gatherer. I will first introduce myself, I am Professor Jayen, I teach 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year movement and fighting classes. I am also one of the pack advisors, so when your pack is having any issues whether its within the pack or with another pack please come to me or your packs advisor. As we speak your items that you brought and unloaded into the gymnasium, are being transported to your new living quarters. Now because our dorms are co-ed, your neighbor could be either male of female, or alpha, beta, or omega. We will be entrusting you students to be decent and clean. The bathrooms are separated by first gender. So don’t go into the opposite genders bathroom understood?” He paused at this part, like he was trying to let that sink in.

“Now let’s get on with the rules we have set in place, and how your first year here will be going.” After that he explained in depth how today was going to go and how we were expected to act on campus. Everything was pretty straight forward. He had slides set up to explain how the campus was set up and everything. It felt like we had been sitting there for the whole day.

“And that wraps up our seminar here. Does anyone have any questions?” He paused here and scanned the crowd of students, searching fo any questions.” Well I guess you don’t… oh! I almost forgot a very important detail about your packs. They will be chosen by who your neighbors are. There are between 7 and 8 people per pack, and about 7 to 8 people who’s rooms will connect by a simple living area space where you can study or practice. These packs will stay the same for the entire time you go to school here. The only way to change your pack is if a student decides to leave the school. So I suggest you make friends with your neighbors. Now that we are actually finished here. Thank you for choosing our school. I can’t wait to see what amazing Hunters and Gathers you will become. Dinner will be server in the cafeteria we have here on campus, you will use your student badges to get in. And the quickest way to get there is through the doors to the right. Have a god evening and enjoy your dinner. I will see you tomorrow in class.” He waved to us and started walking off stage as the lights came back on.

“HEY! PROFESSOR!” A yell came out of the crowd. I looked to see who it was and low and behold it was Lillith. She was the only student standing up.

Professor Jayen turned over his shoulder to find out who was called him. He searched the crowd, and found her, “Yes? What is your question my dear?” He asked with a very pleasant smile.

“How will we get into our rooms? You never explained whether we had to go somewhere specific or not.” She was straightforward. I myself hadn’t even thought about it yet, I’m kinda lucky she caught that. “I don’t want to go to the wrong dorms or be stuck sleeping outside tonight.”

Professor Jayen smirked, “Well darling let me tell you then, you will be housed in either the Talon or Fang dorms on the East side of campus there will be a table set up outside of them with a couple of our faculty members there to help guide you. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. May I ask your name dear?”

Lillith smirked before answering him, “I’m Lillith, just Lillith.”

He looked shocked when her heard her name, but quickly smiled back at her, “And why did you choose this school Lillith? I remember seeing your transcripts, you could have gone anywhere.”

She actually smiled at that! She seams genuinely happy about his question. Her eyes flashed violet as she responded “My older brothers attended this school each as a student in the top 10 of their class, I intend to continue the tradition and excel further then they did at this school.” She smirked after that. If this doesn’t put a target on her back I don’t know what will and at orientation of all places.

“Well I wish you luck in that, and I am very happy that you chose to continue your families tradition, not letting others take control of it.” He seams to know more then he’s letting on. I wonder what he actually knows about her? After that he left the stage. The students started making their way out to head to the cafeteria. The four of us exited together and made our way over to the cafeteria. Lillith walked ahead of us and lead the way. I’m guessing she’s been here before.

When we entered the cafeteria older students were already enjoying their dinners. We found a table first and decided to split up and get our dinners 2 at a time, so we didn’t lose our table. Lillith and Bex went first, and after they came back Alexzander and I left.

As we were enjoying our dinner, a student came up to us from his table and sat next to Lillith. He was around Alexzander’s height, he had grayish hair, and looked like he could beak me in two. But that’s not really saying much, I’m not very strong, I’m more like a string bean. The guy looked at Lillith and smirked “So how’s your first day here treating ya? I can’t wait to hear all about it Lil.”

Lillith didn’t look away from her food when she responded “Oh, it’s going great, I can’t wait to see how it ends. I haven’t seen my dorm yet.”

“Well thats expected. Man! I was hoping you’d have seen a fight. Gotten into a fight. Or anything exciting like that. The only thing I’m really shocked about is that you talked to 2 new people today. I mean that improvement at least.” He smiled at Bex and I “I’m-“

He got cut off my Lillith, “Juniper and Bexley this is my older brother Ash, he’s a beta ash-dragon-transform. And fuck you Ash I did do something exciting today I got into a fight and won.”

“Well it’s nice to meet you two, I’m a third year here.” He smiled at us then looked over at Lillith, “So who did you get into a fight with? And just for starters, it better not be Lib, you two promised you’d stay away from each other.” He looked at her like an older brother would, with worry and disappointment.

Lillith looked away from him and a slight smirk appeared but before she could even answer him Alexzander came to her defense “Well, it was Lib, but don’t blame Lillith, it wasn’t her fault. I don’t quite know what happened, but he went over to her.”

Ash looked at him when he spoke, then looked over at Lillith with a slightly worried expression, “So… what did he do this time?”

Lillith, with her head down, looked over at him, “He came over and started insulting Juniper and Bexley, like they were his minions! I couldn’t let that lowlife do that! I already had to apologize for him cause he acted like a dick earlier, so when he did that I couldn’t let him win. And don’t get me wrong I warned him multiple times. And you wouldn’t believe what he said to me.” She started eating right after she explained herself. Ash looked quite shocked but that shock quickly changed to worry.

“I know you think he’s a lowlife and he can be a real dick. But other than what he’s already told you before, what could he have possible said to snap you? I mean he has already dragged you threw hell and back. And please tell me you didn’t break him? How long did it last?” Ash looked so worried about her.

“A, I didn’t break anything, I just dislocated his shoulder and a couple ribs. B, it was over in about a minute, nothing flashy and no weapons were used. And C, his threaten is none of your business. I already took care of it.” She rolled her eyes as she said the last part.

Ash put his hand on her back as he stood up, “Well as long as you didn’t break him, and it sounds like you didn’t make a seen about it, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Just try to stay away from him. And for the sake of my heart call me before you snap, let me handle him. He’s scared of me so there shouldn’t be a problem. It was nice meeting all of you, and it was nice to see you Zander.” He kissed Lillith on the top of her head, “Text me when you get to your room I’ll help you set it up. See you guys around!” He ran off to his table, he passed by Libryinth on his way, and as he did he slapped him on the back of his head.

“So… thats my older brother. We should probably start heading to the dorms before everyone heads there.” Said Lillith, she seamed a little happier, and the air around us seamed lighter somewhat.

Along our walk to the dorms, I couldn’t help but wonder how much Lillith was hiding from us already, we aren’t a pack so she doesn’t really have to explain anything to us. But why would Ash act like he knew everything about Lillith and Libryinth, I know they went to the same PVT school, but still Ash would’ve only been there with them for 3 years. And how would Libryinth drag Lillith through hell and back? From what I’ve seen Lillith can take him in a heartbeat. And what this thing about Lillith’s transform? And why hasn’t she told us? I don’t even know what her second gender is. I mean she defiantly isn’t an alpha or an omega. So I’m guessing she’s a beta, but I don’t know. Ugh… why didn’t I ask these things when Ash was with us?

When we made it to the dorm buildings, we walked up to the faculty stationed there. They checked us in individually. Alexzander went first, Bex second, Lillith third, and I went last. When I walked up to them, they asked for my full name and my transform. They check their tablets, marked my name off, and handed me a keyring with a single key on it and a small charm that said Talon on it and the number 15. They said the number was the room I was in, and I was on the top floor, the 8th floor. After I walked over to the group.

As I got to the group I found out that all of us were in Talon and we all were on the 8th floor. We decided to take the elevator up. When we arrived on the 8th floor, we all went straight to our rooms. As we were walking there I noticed there were only 16 rooms. I headed on over to room 15, I looked over and noticed Lillith was in room 14, so I was in a pack with her. I turned around and saw Bexley at room 10 and Alexzander at 9. How did all four of us get in the same pack? I didn’t wanna question it.

I unlocked my door and walked in. The Professor wasn’t lying, they really transferred all of my belongings here. And the room wasn’t small at all. It had a full bed, a desk and chair in one corner, a dresser in the other, and at the end of my bed was 2 doors. One ended up being a closet, and the other led to a hallway, I ventured down the hallway and came upon the living space the professor had mentioned. After I looked around a little, I went back to my room to start my unpacking.

I was only about a third of the way done unpacking, when I heard a light knocking at the door. Who would come over to my room, I only know 3 other people, well and Ash but I don’t think he really counts. I ran over to the door, and opened it. Standing there was Lillith and Ash. “Oh! Hi, I didn’t expect you two.” I was quite shocked that it was them, why is Ash even in this building?

“Hey, Ash is the floors RA. He was just helping me unpack, but we finished up really quickly, so I thought what would be better then to come over here and see if you needed any help. So… would you like any help?” Lillith gave a slight smile at the end, probably cause of Ash. I realized that as she got comfortable with me, she was really quiet and observant. So I’m guessing Ash is trying to break her out of her shell maybe? But she went to PVT there is no way thats she is super shy. Right?

I gave her a big smile in return and said “Yeah, I could really use the help.” I let them in my room, then continued explaining “I’ve got all my clothes unpacked and put away. But now all that’s really left is getting all my books put away somewhere, getting all my school stuff organized, and getting all my wall deco up. It might not seam like a lot… but I have way to many books.”

They came inside, and I gave them instructions on how to sort and put away my books. I started on my desk. As we set up my room, Ash asked me questions, starting up our conversation. Ash seams to be a talker, and since neither Lillith nor I are, he kept the conversation going. When I got done with sorting and setting up my desk, I turned around and walked over to Lillith, who are sitting on the ground setting up a stack of my books. I crouched down next to her, and asked “Hey, Lillith, why did you guys come to my room instead of Alexzander’s or Bex’s?”
