Lillith stopped for a moment, and turn to look at me “Honestly, Zander’s older brother goes here and came over to help him. And I asked Bex earlier if she wanted any help, and she refused my offer. I wanted to help my pack get unpacked, back at PVT it was a requirement as pack bonding. So it’s kinda a habit now… but I still wanted to help someone… and I kinda figured you wouldn’t turn me away.” She looked down almost like she was sad that no one else let her help them.

“Oh…” I couldn’t think of anything else to say. I knew Bex wouldn’t let anyone help her unpack, but… that’s it! “Listen, I’ve known Bex for awhile now, and she wouldn’t even let me help her unpack. She’s kinda weird in that way. And neither Bex nor I have ever been in a pack, so we really don’t know what we are supposed to do or whats expected of us. Just give her some time, she’ll warm up to having more than just me around.” I tried to sound comforting, but I honestly don’t know what I should be doing. Ugh I hate not knowing what to say.

“Thanks.” She looked up at me,”I guess I’ll just wait till she’s ready. Oh… and you can call Alexzander Zander, now that we’re in a pack together. And you can call me Lil, okay Jun?”

I couldn’t help but smile, “Okay Lil!” I just now realized she was calling me Jun instead of Juniper, Bex doesn’t even do that. Maybe its a pack thing, but I don’t really think I want Bex calling me that.

Lil and I finished up putting the books she had away before getting more. We didn’t really talk, but it was nice. Ash couldn’t stop talking though, he really is a chatterbox. He told us what classes were like, and who was the best teacher for each one. Where the best places on campus were to eat and study, and all the ways to get to each place on campus. He seamed to go on and on. By the time we finished unpacking all my things it was about 9:30 and Ash said that he was going to go and introduce himself to the other pack on the floor and to our other pack members.

As he was walking out the door he suddenly stoped and starting rummaging around in his pockets. “Ah, here it is!” He said as he turned around and handed Lil a piece of paper, “This is the list of the members of your pack, it has their names, phone numbers, and room numbers. I suggest meeting them before class tomorrow.” He smiled and with that he left.

“How could he forget something like that?” Lil said before taking out her phone and putting the numbers into her phone.”What do you think I should say?”

I didn’t really know, I don’t have much experience with this. “Umm, maybe ‘Hi’…” we looked at each other and started laughing hysterically.

“Ok, but won’t that be a bit creepy? Like a random number just texted me and said ‘Hi’.” We continued laughing, “Maybe I’ll just start a group chat, and ask if everyone wants to meet in the living room area.”

“Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.” I felt my phone go off in my back pocket a couple seconds later. Since I knew what it was I didn’t pick it up, Lil and I were huddled around her phone waiting to see if anyone would reply. Bex replied first ‘Sounds good, can we make it a movie night?’ Lil and I looked at each other kinda shocked. “I guess we could.” Lil responded asking if anyone had any movie they would like to watch. Zander replied next saying that he had a good one. We ended up deciding to meet at 10:15 in the back room. Lil and I headed there right away.

We didn’t have to wait long before Bex and Zander arrived, Bex sat in one of the chairs while Zander sat on the couch getting the TV ready for the movie. Right after them a small boy walked in, he was only about 5 foot tops, dark brown wavy hair, light blue eyes that seamed to sparkle when he saw Lil, and really fair skin. He looked like he was 12, way to young to be enrolled at school here.

He smiled at everyone before speaking, “Hi! My name’s Arbid, I’m an omega chimpanzee-transform.”

“Hey, its nice to meet you, I’m Lillith just call me Lil. This one here is Juniper a beta fox-transform, that one is Bexley a beta leopard-transform, and lastly on the couch is Alexzander, alpha jade-dragon-transform.” Lil introduced us like it was no big deal. Almost right after she spoke Arbid came up to her and hugged her, he opened his mouth as if to answer her.

“Hey I got a question.” Zander interrupted Arbid’s reply to Lil, he looked awfully smug like he wanted to be the one introducing us, “Arbid, are you even old enough to be here, you look like a baby.” This was a new side of Zander I didn’t know about, he was acting like a real alpha.

Arbid looked a little shocked and hurt, “Yes I am, I turned 16 last week, I know I look young, but I promise I am old enough.”

As Arbid was answering Zander, Lil walked up behind the couch, when Arbid finished speaking Lil raised her hand and slapped Zander in the back of the head hard. Her eyes flashed a red but it wasn’t as bright as it was with Libryinth “Don’t you go acting like a big alpha now, you weren’t a pack alpha at PVT so you’re not going to be a pack alpha here unless everyone agrees to it! And like hell if I will! So shut the fuck up and stop acting like an arrogant jackass!” As she spoke Zander rubbed the back of his head.

“Fine, okay, I’m sorry, you just meet him how can you already be so protective over him?” She glared at him when he said that and raised her hand again, “Okay, okay, I’ll apologize… Hey Arbid, I’m sorry about that, I’m not usually like that.” He smiled at the small boy.

Arbid giggled and smiled back, “It’s okay, I understand.” He walked over to the couch and sat next to him

A couple minutes later, another pack member walked in. He was taller than me by at least 4 inches, he had brown hair and matching brown eyes, he had a very naturally muscular build to him. He spoke in a very gentle manner as if not to scare us, “Hello, umm… my names Braden, I’m a… uh… alpha uh… king-cobra-transform. And umm… if possible I don’t want to um… be the pack leader.”

Lil had a innocent look on her face as he spoke, then introduced us all. When she was finished introducing us he had walked up to her and sat in the chair next to her. She looked over to him and whispered “So you did decide to come here… Did my persuasion actually work on you, king cobra?”

He looked up and her whispering back “Yeah it did, happy?”

She smirked in reply, she looked over at me, I was standing beside her so I heard everything, “I will explain everything later.” I guess I had a confusing ‘please tell me' look on my face.

I smiled at Lil, I was about to respond as the door opened a third and final time, a girl walked in this time. She had bright fire red hair in two braids on top of her head, she had pale green eyes, and an olive skin tone. She scanned the room as she stood there, everyone’s eyes were on her.

“Sup. The name’s Winniefred, but if you ever call me that, you won’t live till tomorrow, so just call me Winnie. I’m a beta lion-transform.” She said, her eyes still screening the room they stopped on Lil, “So… you’re in my pack? How did you swing that? Did you call the dean or something?” She chuckled.

Lil Introduced everyone first but skipped herself, they must know each other, then she answered Winnie’s questions “Now, Winnie… do you really think I had the time to call the dean of this school just to be in the same pack at you? I was way too busy this summer with other things to be concerned with whether or not I’m in the same pack as you. But… seeing that we are now in a pack together, there really isn’t anything either of us can do. Lets just make the best of it.” Lil wasn’t happy, not in the slightest. I’m guessing she’ll explain this to me later too.

Winnie shrugged and went and sat down by Zander on the couch, when she sat down Zander played the movie, it was some hunter movie. I wasn’t paying attention, Lil had sat on the table behind the couch, so I had taken the seat that was on that side of the table. Everyone watching the movie seamed to be enjoying themselves, especially Bex and Arbid. I’ve never been really into movies all that much, but it was fun watching everyone enjoying it so much. At one point I looked up at Lil to see if she was enjoying it, she looked sad. Like there was something she wanted to say but couldn’t. She caught me looking at her and smiled a little, probably just to try and keep me from bringing it up I smiled back. I was still really worried.

Finally the movie ended, it was way past 12 and we really needed to go to sleep. Lil was the one who ended up saying something about it, “Alright everyone, we will talk about pack details after classes tomorrow. Classes start at 8 tomorrow morning, so make sure you arrive there early and eat breakfast before, fight training is first for gatherers and hunters. Get a good nights sleep.”

Everyone responded with a yes followed by a goodnight, then headed out the other door down the hall and to their rooms. Lil turned around after they had all left and followed me out our door down our hall and to our room doors. She smiled over at me before opening her door. And was about to wish me goodnight, as I interrupted her, “Hey, are you going to explain everything to me? I don’t understand what happened, the other three seamed to know you before coming into the room and meeting the pack. What’s going on?” I sounded so desperate for answers, but I couldn’t leave it like that. Not knowing anything.

“Well, I was planning on telling you tomorrow, but I can tell you now I guess.” She closed her door and leaned her back up against the opposite wall, “Arbid I meet at a school event a few years ago nothing really special there, he was from a rival training school, and thought I was going to hate him just because of that but we ended up being the odd numbers and were partnered up. We kept in touch threw the animals, but we never exchanged numbers, since keeping in touch with a rival schools student was frowned upon.” She paused for a minute and looked over at me.

“Well I guess the hug makes since then, now what about Braden and Winnie?” I feel kinda bad for asking her this, its so late and we have to get up early for classes tomorrow.

“I meet Braden one summer ago, he went to a small town school and had wanted to go here to QHGPT, but everyone in his family doubted him. His school life wasn’t very good either, with his size and transform, his piers were scared of him. He’s a very gentle person, so he was very lonely. All I did was persuade him to apply to QHGPT anyways, like who cares what everyone else thinks about you. He had good grades and is pretty solid with his transform, so there wasn’t any real reason to not go for it at least. He was a real dirtbag though, they called him ‘King Cobra, king of the streets’ a real nasty repuation”

“Okay, lastly whats with Winnie? Does she hate you or something? Did something happen between the two of you?” I didn’t want any trouble in the pack already, it’s the first day.

“Oh Winnie, yeah theres no reason to worry there. She use to go to PVT with me, we were in the same pack for the first 2 1/2 years or so, after the end of our 3rd year she left PVT. We weren’t really close and didn’t talk all that often, but she didn’t like me cause when we trained I would always beat her. I guess it probably just frustrated her, she really likes to win but hates to lose more than most, even when its just practice. She thought that a lion should beat everyone, but she could never beat me or any of the solid fighters in our class.” Lil looked impartial to this, like she didn’t really care.

“Oh, well okay. Well I hope you can still take her,” we both laughed, “Thanks for telling me all this, and I’m sorry for being so antsy about it.” I scratched the back of my head and looked down, “I really didn’t mean to pry.”

“Don’t worry about it.” I looked up in shock to see Lil looking right at me, “It doesn’t bother me, and if I didn’t want to tell you I wouldn’t have said anything. Don’t bother worrying about anything like that.” She looked so serious, like she would tell me anything I wanted to know as long as I asked.

We stood there for a minute, I was staring straight at her, when I finally noticed I shook my head, “Ha, umm sorry about that… umm sleep well and uh… goodnight!” I smiled over at her before opening my door and going into my room.

As I walked in my room, I heard her call out to me, “Goodnight Jun, sleep well, I’ll see you in the morning.”

I changed into my pajamas and as I was getting into bed my phone went off, it was Bex, she sent a goodnight text. I texted her one back and set my alarm to go off the next morning. Well I guess my first day here wasn’t so bad, I bet my mom will want to hear all about it soon. I can’t wait for tomorrow, I rolled over and fell asleep anxious for tomorrow.
