Xaviers POV

Colton was the only thing that was on my mind as I tried to do some work. But every time I got working he would sneak inside my head and distract me. I looked up at the door when I hear Finn barging in. "Colton left." Finn said while walking over to the front of my desk. I stared at him for a couple of seconds letting the information sink in.

"What?" I asked getting out of my seat.

"He left." Finn replied slowly.

"Yes I know Finn. I heard you the first freaking time! Where the hell did he go?" Finn shrugged. "You dont know?"

"Xavier I came here the second after one of the guards told me he picked up his scent leaving this place. The second after." I sat down in my chair.

"Fuck Colton! He dosent even know what will happen to him! He dosent even know that there are more vampires here than anywhere else in this fucking world!" I watched as Finn glanced down at the ground. "Spit it out." I said harshly to him. Finn looked back up.

"Well I mean if you werent so mean to him then mabey...."

"Mabey what Finn?" I glared at him. "Please speak your mind."

"If you werent so rude to him." When I didnt say anything Finn continued. "We basically kidnapped him across the globe, brought him to this new place he has never been to and then you tell him to not leave! How in the world do you think he felt? Yes Xavier I know hes your mate, yes I know you want to protect him and yes I know how it feels but hes not a baby! You can be mad at him all you want but just so you know... half of this is your fault! I hate to fucking admit it but it's true!" Finn yelled before he slammed the door behind him. If he wasnt my beta I would have killed him right here.

'But Xavier you know he is right." My wolf Ash says to me. 'If you didnt tell him he had house arrest he would have come to you and probably asked to go to town. But you decide to go in and demand it.'

'Yes I know I screwed up Ash but hes our mate and I just want to protect him. With the Vamps around I'm really scared that i may loose him.'

'Then tell him that when he comes back but for know leave him be. Both of you need to cool off.' I waited a few seconds making sure this was all happening before taking Ashs advise. I dug myself into work but no matter how much I did there was this voice in my head, not Ashs, telling me to go look for Colton.

I walked down to the dining area where all the wolves were eating. I sat at the head and started.

"Where the hell is he?" I asked halfway through my meal.

"I dont know but you might want to stop this fight." Finn said next to me pointing to the ever growing food fight. I smiled at what I thought Colton might say to this. With his love towards food he would probably be throwing a fit at my- our pack for wasting food. "What's got you smiling?"

I looked over at Finn. "Nothing....."  When the room got deathly silent I looked up from my plate and to my pack around me. They were all still and some were staring towards the door while others were looking at me. I got up and went to look. My eyes widened a little when I saw Colton there a little out of breath. It took me a second but before I realized it, I felt my legs running over to him. I grabbed him off the ground and pulled him in to a hug. After a second of hesitation I felt Colton hug me back. I pulled away from him to look at him. His plantnom blonde hair was sticking out in all directions. But what pulled me in was his eyes. His left eye being a dark green while his right being a bright blue. Beautiful. That was the only word to describe him. "Dont you ever do that again. I was worried s-" I thought our first kiss would be under different circumstances but once his lips were on mine and after the little shock that went through me I kissed him back. Colton brought his legs up behind me. Using on of my arms I used it to secure him while I used my other to explore. 

"Your Back!" I heard Finn yell from behind me. I dropped Colton out of shock. I looked down at him. He was giving Finn a death stare before his cheeks were a bright red. Well I wouldnt be suprised. But I wansnt only because I've caught Finn and his mate making out  almost everywhere. He looked up to me and I gave him a small smile which made him blush more and cover his face with both hands. Well why are you doing that Colton? I grabbed his wrists and pulled them away from his face. I let go if them once I was sure they wouldnt go back up. 

I dont know what I was doing but all of a sudden I winked at him. Why the hell did i so that? Eh whatever, Colton seemed to like it as his face got redder. "Xavier stop embarrassing your mate? Your being terribly rude!" Finn yelled. I turned and and we both looked at him. "Now Colton, get over here!" I watched as Colton walked over to Finn who pulled him into one of his killing hugs.

"Finn....cant.....breath." I heard Colton say between a few short breaths. Finn gave me a shy smile before getting all serious with Colton. 

"Colton do you have any idea how worried Xavier was? He was so upset that you left and was about to send all the wolves we had to find you!" I rolled my eyes at Finn. Making excuses I see. Once Finn let go of Colton, he jumped like something scared the living lights out of him. I gave him a questionable look. 

"Its a long story." And at that moment it hit me like a ton of bricks. That kiss made me completely forget what Colton did. He left. He left and then kissed me? To what? Forget what happened? I don't want to deal with this. I turned and walked back up to my office. The dark room was now only lit by the moon light that came through the wall of windows standing behind my desk. I looked outside them. No one was around just lit up houses filled with families who dont have to worry about all this up here. I didnt look behind me when I heard the door open as I already knew who it was. Not that I wouldnt be able to. His scent filled the room as soon as he took a step inside. 

"Xavier...." Colton started. I didnt look back at him, only through the window. I heard him take a few steps toward me. "Xavier I'm sorry. I know what I did was..... reckless but I just wanted to get out. I'm not blaming you for what I did but you were the reason I snuck out. I just hate rules. Following them to be exact. All my life it was do this Colton, no do it this was Colton, Colton follow the rules. And I just hate it! And before you start yelling at me I know. I do know your worried about me. I know theres a bigger vamp empire here than anywhere else and for that I'm so so so so so so soooo fucking sorry. Please just accept my apology. Pleeeeeaaaaasssseeee?" Colton bugged. I turned around and gave him a hard glare which he returned. 

"Fine on one condition." Colton nodded his head. "You have to let me take you on a date." His eyes widened a little. I smirked knowing he wasnt expecting it. 

"Ya I'll let you take me on a date. So does that mean I'm forgiven?" Colton asked while doing little jumps of excitement. I nodded. He ran up to me and gave me a hug. After a few seconds Colton backed up. "I am really sorry." I chuckled a little. "What?"

"Colton I accepted your apology, no more I'm sorry. I may be a little mad that you didnt follow a direct order from me but that angry can be directed in something else as I prepare for our evening out tommorrow." I said with a smile growing on my face.
