I walked into Lil’s room, it was very nice, it was a little bigger then mine, she had the same wooden floor and off-white walls. Her closet door was cracked and I could see a little bit inside, from where I was standing it looked pretty big. Her bed was to the left of me and at the end of her bed was her chester drawers. Her desk and chair was on the wall opposite of me and right next to it was her front door. She had a dark blue mini fridge on the other side of the front door, it had a microwave on it, and a tall cabinet beside it in the corner. She had a huge circle rug on the floor, it was covered in all the different types of dragons.

For a couple minutes I was standing there staring before I even looked at Lil. She looked kinda cute, she wore a oversized maroon hoody that had Dragon Tribe written on it, a pair of black shorts similar to the training uniform shorts, but they had a small white dragon on the butt, and a pair of fuzzy socks. At this point I hadn't yet realized I was staring at her, but she looked so cute, she had glasses with maroon rims and her hair was being held up my a singular silver chopstick.

“Hey Jun? Are you okay?”Lil asked me as she walked up to me.

“Oh, uh… yeah. Just I haven’t seen you with glasses on, its different.” I responded.

“Yeah, I wear contacts during classes and when I have to leave my room. The glasses are to cumbersome for training. Do you want anything to drink? I have water, soda, and juice.” She started walking over to the mini fridge, “Or do you want something to eat? I have a lot of snacks and drinks, my brothers stocked me up before I left and when I moved in.”

“I’ll have a water, thank you.” I was thirsty, but not to hungry, the snacks will probably be out when everyone else comes in.

Lil handed me a water and jumped back up on her bed. She sat criss-cross and pulled her laptop onto her lap. She had notebooks, textbooks, pencils, and pens scattered out all over her bed, with the worksheets on the designated textbooks. She looked up at me and said “You can sit wherever you like, bed, floor, desk, I don’t really care. There are sitting pillows and folding chairs in the closet if you want to get one of those.”

I looked around, and decided to get a sitting pillow from the closet and sit in front of the bed on the floor. I looked up at her real quick before speaking, “You said your brothers stock piled your snacks, so you have more brothers then just Ash? Do you have any sisters?”

She leaned over the bed a little looking at me, “Yeah, Ash is still in school so him and I are closer, but most of my other brothers have already graduated and live near or with my parents. And I don’t have any sisters. Only brothers.”

“Oh… well thats okay, I have three little sister and a older brother. And I usually get a long with my sisters more than my brother. But it is nice to have him around—“ I didn’t get to finish my sentence as there was a knock at the door.

I stood up and walked to the front door, I opened it up and there was the whole pack just standing there. There eyes widened when they saw me, I stepped back so they could make their way in. A couple of them said they were originally waiting on me but I took to long so they went on ahead. I told everyone of the seating arrangements, but everyone, except Arbid, decided to sit on the floor with a sitting pillow. Arbid wanted to sit on the bed with Lil, he was struggling to get up there when Braden picked him up by the back of the shirt and sat him on the bed.

When everyone got situated Lil offered everyone snack and drink, when everyone responded Zander got up and passed everything out. We started with the logistics homework, Zander led this one helping out the people on the floor. Lil was quietly helping out Arbid and anyone when they asked her instead of Zander, but for the most part she was working on her computer. Next we did the herbology homework. Any questions went straight to Lil, she was able to explain things really well. I understood most of it from my herbology classes back at pre-training school. We didn’t have any homework for our fighting class, but what kind of homework would he even give us.

After we finished our homework, we started talking just to try and get to know each other a little better. I looked up at Lil and she was still working on her laptop, I didn’t know what to do to get her in on the conversation with out making it a thing. Bex caught me looking up at Lil, and jabbed me in the ribs I let out a small groan. When everyone heard it the laughed, I looked back up at Lil and say her giggle a little. Everyone got quiet after that.

“Lets get on with official pack business. We have to pick a alpha and a beta. Alpha is the title of the packs leader, and beta is the title of the packs second in command. We need to talk about this.” Zander had stated the conversation.

Winnie was the next to talk, “Even though I don’t like her very much…” She looked up at Lil, “I think Lil should be our alpha. She’s the only one here with any experience and she does have the strongest overall stats.”

“Wait what do you mean by highest overall stats? We know she has the highest fighting stats from this morning but not testing stats.” Bex asked, she was fiddling with the edge of her tablet as she spoke, “And what is this experience? Was she a alpha back at PVT?”

“Lillith was at the top of our class every year at PVT, she had the highest overall stats by a lot, she outranked upperclassmen. And yeah, halfway through our third year, Lillith started her own pack and was chosen to be the alpha. I was the beta back then.” Zander answered. “She was in a previous pack before then, but a lot of things happened and she was allowed by the school to begin her own pack. But I agree with Winnie, Lillith should be our alpha.”

Most everyone one agreed after that, starting up a pack and being the overall top student was enough to qualify her. She looked a little shocked when we decided, but accepted the position. She went back to her laptop after.

“Now, who wants to be the beta? Anyone? I would like to be but anyone can put a name out there.” Zander edged that out there.

Lil quickly responded and shut him down, “No, I don’t want a PVT rerun.” She glared at him before continuing, “Usually the alpha would put a name out there and the pack would discuss it and usually approve it. Does that sound acceptable?” Everyone nodded in response, “I would like Juniper to be the beta. He’s smart, reliable, and good at taking charge. I have complete faith that he will exceed my expectations in fulfilling this role.”

Everyone looked straight at me, then looked back up at Lil. They all then responded with either a ‘yeah sounds good’ or a ‘sure I guess so’. I then accepted the position. I didn’t think this would happen, but I have to do it now, man I wasn’t planning on this extra pressure.

“Well, thats that then. We have officially named our alpha and beta, and at least the beta is a beta.” She giggled and nudged my shoulder before moving on, “Now I did tell you, that you could ask me any question and I would answer to the fullest I could when we decided. Now that we have decided, ask away.” She picked her laptop up and put it on the Chester drawers.

Everyone was silent for a couple minutes, randomly looking at each other, making eye contact with Lil or with me. It was so awkward, I wanted it to end. No one wanted to ask, even Zander looked nervous, he was just staring at his feet. Finally Arbid spoke up, asking a question.

“Umm… Lillith? How do you know Libryinth? I know you two went to PVT together… but he spoke like he had known you for a really long time. I mean… no one usually speaks like that to someone unless they know them inside and out. Even if you were in a pack with him before… he wouldn’t speak like that.” He spoke quietly and slowly, but everyone looked at Lil when he spoke. Her face was very clam and blank, like she expected it.

Lillith looked down for a second before taking a deep breath and answering, “Well… that actually has a pretty easy explanation… you see Libryinth is actually my… twin brother.”

“WHAT!” Everyone but Zander was shocked.
