Why shatter the sky if beneath waits a truth

Deconstructing the lie if ever removed

If ever undone that lie would unveil

Our sky was gone … long before our tale

If up to me, I’d rather not know

This truth that was hidden ages ago

By darkness or light or in between

No matter what their intention has been

Let’s keep it this way, let’s just accept

This lie over a secret far too well kept

And if one day someone shatters the sky

We’ll avert our eyes … and hold on to the lie.
