Being pushed aggressively to perfection by his mother Mark couldn't help but slowly break down.
After countless fights with his mom who desperately tried to keep him on the path she forcefully paved him, Mark needed a break-running away at the age of 12.
In the beginning, he thought of taking a stroll around the park before going back home, yet foolishly he took the wrong turn resulting in him being completely lost at the wrong side of the town, and when I say the wrong side I mean the place where underground gangs and unauthorized stores are.
Poor Mark was crying for help, the bright skies no longer hold even the slightness light of hope making his fragile figure and beautiful green eyes to be swallowed by the darkness and fear.
A hand, under the pitch dark night sky all he could see was the hand who crept into his field of vision. The hand was covered in colorful tattoos that contrasted the soft looking skin beneath it.
Lifting his small head looking up at the man who stood in front of him with a big smile plastered on his face, Mark hesitantly held the hand.
The boy found himself spending the night at the tattoo shop of that man, looking left and right, eyes filled with admiration and joy, Alice the man who saved him couldn’t resist the urge to show him some of his designs.
Mark filled with excitement felt his heartbeat fasten at each design he saw.
"That’s amazing, did you do it all yourself?" he asked, staring deeply into Alice's blue eyes.
"Yeah, you see in my profession one needs to be creative in order to grasp the image the costumers and I see"
Noticing how amazed the little boy is, barely breathing from the thrill Alice added "you see it's like art but instead of using a canvas I use the human body, the materials are different but the creativity is the same"
Alice took Mark back home on the morning of the next day. Even though Mark was back at home he felt like he left his heart at the little tattoo shop.
Every day Mark would go back to the shop, it became a regular sight for the passing gangsters on the streets and the customers to see Mark helping Alice around the shop.
Mrs. Parker definitely wasn’t happy with his new hobby. After years of fights, lockdowns, and threats they came to an agreement.
Any time Mark attends his classes both in school and the extra ones, he can go to that shop.
or so he thought at the time.
