Tin dropped to his knees, gobbled in pain. He coughed a couple of times while his father continued to scream at him.

Larry could hardly believe his eyes. How could a father hit his son like that?! That's just sick! Larry was now shaking in fear as his eyes couldn't look away from that aggressive father who's kicking his own son on the ground. Then it finally hit him.

Larry - oh you know... I'm just trying to help out an innocent child who seems to be going the wrong path. So sending him home directly to his worried parents is the right thing to do.

Tin - since you're so confident of your righteousness, keep your eyes on me if you dare...

Larry quickly glances at Tin who was in pain on the ground and to his surprise, his met eye contact with Tin who stared straight at him with mocking gaze. Larry quickly moved his eyes away, feeling hot with shame. Just by the look that Tin gave him, Larry knew exactly what Tin was going to say to him.

(Tin - so this is what you wanted to see? Me getting beat up? ......do you still think you did the right thing?)

Larry stepped on the gas and drove off.

Larry - ("no! This is not what I wanted to see! This is a mistake! I didn't know! I didn't know!!!)

Tin saw Larry's car drove off. It didn't surprise him. All his friends are like that. Once they knew about his abusive father, they pretended that they didn't know a thing. It will take too much of hazel to get involved so they didn't bother to care. Plus, it's none of their business anyway.

Tin's father, Mr. Vich, was breathless due to beating Tin up.

Mr. Vich - quit laying there! stand up and be a man!

Tin stood up wobbly, holding onto his side rib where his father kicked like 20 times.

Mr. Vich - why can't you be like your brother?! He never embarrasses me like you do! For now on, don't you dare ignored my calls ever again! You hear me!? Do you hear me?!

Tin didn't answer. He just stood there as he caught glimpse of his mother who has been watching them from the window. His mother met eye contact with him and she quickly hid back inside. Tears formed in his eyes as he looked down so his dad won't see.

Mr. Vich grabbed onto a bat that was laying next to the door. He raised it at Tin, giving him a warning that if he doesn't answer the question, he's going to swing it at him.

Mr. Vich - answer me dammit!

Tin - I don't want to be here. (Mumbled)

Mr. Vich - what? What did you say?!

Tin gazed up at his father with hatred.

Tin - I don't want to be here! This is not home! This is hell!

Mr. Vich opening his eyes very wide as he chuckled insanely.

Mr. Vich - you're gonna pay for what you just said...(swung the bat with a lot his might, aiming at Tin's right shoulder.) You son of a bitc--!!

Then someone yelled...

-duck!

As soon as Tin heard that, he ducked down so low to avoid getting hit. His father missed but quickly aimed for him again. Someone ran in fast speed to stood in between Tin and Tin's father. Tin was stun at the whole situation. He couldn't believe his eyes. The person standing right in front of him, protecting him from his father...was Can. How?
