(casey)
Casey groaned as he rolled to his side to check the time on his alarm clock, it read 9:45.
"Frick! I'm late!" he jumped out of bed and got dressed as quickly as he could, and stuffed his school things into his backpack and ran out the door. He was halfway down the stairs when he realized it was a saturday, he laughed at his own stupidity and dragged himself up the stairs. He colasped on his bed without bothering to change his clothes.
he was drifting off into sleep when he heard a loud crash and a yelp. Casey sat up and looked out his bedroom window.
The figure that supossedly made the sound moved out of veiw from his window. He debated wether or not it was worth investigating, but his curiousity won him over. He jumped out of bed and walked down the stairs, he stopped dead in his tracks when he heard voices coming from the kitchen:
"Yes, your Rose Callings, am i correct?" he heard his mom say "Oh yes thats correct, we just wanted to say hello and introduce ourselves" said a new voice. "Oh this is Robin, then?" his mom said in a sweet tone. This time a new voice spoke:
"Yes, i am and it's a pleasure to meet you ma'am" said the new voice, Casey could practaclly hear the insencerity though. "Just call me Sarah please" his mom responded. There was a moment of seilence where he guessed whoever it was nodded.
"You look about 16, am i correct?" Casey's mom said after another beat of seilence. "Yes i am" said the voice, it was killing him to now to know who spoke, so he quietly peered over the stair railing. There were three figures in the kitchen, two had there backs to Casey and one, his mom, was sitting in one of the dinning table chairs.
"You can sit if you like" his mom said. The taller figure of the pair took up the offer and pulled out a chair to sit. The shorter one stayed rooted where they were. This one is was very lean and small, they were wearing a yellow hoodie and black yoga pants. His mother turned her attention to the smaller figure,
"Don't you want to sit dear?" his mother said with a concerned stare.
"No thank you, Sarah" the boy (or a least Casey thought they were) said as he shook his head.
"Alright then Robin, dear" mom said as she turned back to the other person seated at his dinning room table. He realized that the taller on must've been Robin's mother.
"You know i have a son your age" she said as she sipped her coffee (which Casey didn't realize she had in her hands) "He must be still asleep though, you'll meet him one day or another"
Casey froze at his mother's words, from what he gathered from this 'Robin' he concluded that he wouldn't want to be friends with him
