(Robin) Sorry, this part makes more sense if it's in his perspective.
He kept his head down as he walked to the back of the classroom. He could hear the whispers, they thought they were being quiet but he could hear every word that was spoken:
'Who doesn't have a last name, so weird!' 'Maybe he's a lab experiment with no last name!' 'Ugh, look at his hair, what did he cut it with? a butterknife?' 'aww, the baby's about to cry' 'He's so skinny, he probably eats rats from the sewer he came from' 'I hope he doesn't talk to me, that would be gross!'
He bit his lower lip, trying to keep the tears and thoughts away. He took his seat at the back of the classroom and stared at the wood.
"Hey, you're Robin right?" a voice whispered to him.
His head snapped up and turned to the direction the voice had spoken from.
The voice belonged to a red-headed girl seated at the next desk.
"I'm Amelia, but you can call me Ame," she said giving him a big smile.
"Yeah, I'm Robin, you can call me Ro," he responded, glancing at her sideways.
"You have a lot of rumors goin' on bout' you already." She said leaning in.
"Yeah, I can tell." He grumbled.
"Oh come on, you just have to ignore them, give' em the finger and take no shit," she said.
"Thanks for the advice, Ame," he said with a flat stare.
"Well, if you want really good advice, you gotta talk to my buddy Leon from computer science." She said.
"Thanks, I guess," he said giving her a small smile.
Robin studied her features: She had wild red hair, curly and tangled. Ame's face was covered in freckles and so were her arms. She wore a black jean jacket crammed with all sorts of pins, ripped skinny jeans, a pair of very worn-out sneakers, and several hairpins.
"You know, you ain't that bad." she hummed while leaning back in her chair.
"Thanks, you're not to bad yourself," Robin said back, smirking.
"Everyone said bad things about you, so I expected the worst," Ame said.
"What?" he said, shocked.
"Yeah, the second you stepped into the classroom, all sorts of things were thrown outta' those trash-talkers mouths." she glared at the wall behind Mr. Petto's head.
"Should have expected that," he said with a sigh.
"But anyway, you' gonna sit with us or not?." Amelia she asked.
"If you'll have me" he said feeling a bit better.
"We'd be delighted with your presence," she said with a small smile.

Lunch
The school bell rang, signaling the end of the fourth period. The students bustled throughout the classroom, talking and laughing with friends. Robin rolled his eyes, people could talk so casually like that.
"Hey, where are you going to eat lunch?" Casey said, nearly making Robin drop everything he was holding.
"Shit, don't sneak up on me like that!" he said, stuffing his things into his bag.
"Sorry, I was wondering if you would sit with me and my friends...." Casey said, scratching the back of his head.
"No thanks, I already have someone to sit with." Robin stepped around him.
"Already?" he asked.
"Oh, don't act so surprised, I can make friends in my own y' know." He said, Halfway out the door.
"But....." Casey trailed off.
Robin didn't listen, he already guessed that Casey's friends were going to be huge douche bags. He didn't need any more drama, never again.
He tried to recall Amelia's instructions on how to find the library. He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he didn't notice the person he bumped into.
"Sorry, do you know where the library is?" Robin asked.
The stranger was tall and had short brown hair. He wore a pair of glasses:
"It's okay, and I was just heading there so I'll take you." He said with a smile."I'm Leon and you must be Robin?"
"-and of course you know my name," Robin said, glaring at Leon.
"Oh relax, everyone's talking about you." He replied smirking.
"Is that a good thing necessarily?" He asked.
"Could be, could not." Leon gestured with his hands.
"Sure," Robin grumbled.
