Yep, I've been there. And it sucks too. The overwhelming trickle of feeling useless and being a leech is even more stressful for someone who is trying to make use of a their degree. And for me, I was desperate for any teaching job at that rate, but it was terrifying too. One thing's for sure, jobs come and go depending on what field you're applying, and the seasonal demand. Winter during the new years, not the best, since they're already booked with the crazy holiday rush. So almost no one is hiring. Two, not only do you apply online, but it's a good idea to call that place you applied for as well and ask if you can visit and ask more questions. The old-fashioned approach of meeting the manager up front is still useful. Now I've never really gone through that process enough. But I can say this, don't give up. My only regret was not using that free time to work more on my art and my comics. Living with parents isn't bad, but it eventually gets tiring when the parents start offering more advice that you most likely won't act on or don't want.

College graduation was like a huge sigh of relief for me, yet it was also sad because I met some good people along the way, and wish i was better at keeping in touch with them. Also, going into a field that you have absolute no interest in, NOT advisable. Unless you are okay with it, not advisable. I urge you all, unless your parents' advice is sound and reasonable, DO NOT LET YOUR PARENTS DECIDE WHAT YOU SHOULD MAJOR IN. Because in the end, there is no such thing as a secure job. Jobs will come and go, or grow obsolete. Someone will either replace you, or the business will go bad and affect those working in it. My only regret is not studying more in studio art to make myself a stronger artist. It's still possible to get jobs, but you have to really stand out among the crowd and show them that you're worthy of being part of the team.

Beeswhacks is a semi-real autobiography of my life before and after college, and a few bits of my first year of teaching.
Only difference, everyone in the world is a bee.
