CJ hated lying especially because he sucked at it. While Jaden hadn't said anything about it, the look on his face had made it clear that he had not believed a single word of their story, and he honestly couldn't blame him for not believing it.

It's not like CJ and Autumn wanted to lie to him, but how do you tell your son that the man your running from is his actual father.

While some of what they had told him was true, Jaden still didn't have the whole story.

CJ and Autumn had known each other since they were little and had been friends most of their life.Over time their friendship continued to grow and by the time they were in high school CJ had come to realize just how intense his feelings for her were.He had planned on telling her at the end of their senior year in high school but things hadn't worked out that way at all.

Unbeknownst to him at the time, Autumn's mother and younger brother revealed that they had gifts similar to his own, a fact he neglected to tell her as well. In her anger of them not trusting her sooner, and with the jealousy of not having gifts of her own, she left town that day without another word and never came back. CJ had been devastated but with nothing else he could really do, he had no choice but to try and move on which was easier said than done. As time had gone by CJ and his brother had fallen into the wrong crowd. An underground organization for people with gifts like his had caught his attention and before he knew it he was roped in with some pretty dangerous individuals. His brother had fit right in with the crowd whereas CJ was only there because he couldn't think of anything else better to do with his life.

Over time he had seen some pretty messed up things, and he had done things even more messed up than that. The only way he could cope is by telling himself that he was doing all of these things for the sake of his people, but the more he saw his people die because they couldn't keep pulling their weight, the more he thought otherwise. Before he knew he had challenged the leaders of this group and ended up winning,

In the time span of two years CJ and his brother Damien ended up becoming the most dangerous mafia leaders that the world had no idea existed.

They rebuilt the group from the ground up, changing from a group that suppressed its people into one that helped keep them safe.Many others with gifts like theirs were not living in the best conditions and using the resources they had, CJ was able to find them and welcome them into his family. Things were actually starting to look up for CJ… until he got a phone call from someone he had almost forgotten.

The last voice he would've thought to hear over the phone was Autumn but as she had continued to cry saying that she and her boyfriend were in a tight situation, CJ wouldn't dare turn his back on her. While she had been surprised to hear what exactly he had been doing with his time, she took the fact that CJ was a mafia leader pretty well. The only thing she had been pissed about was the conversation they had regarding CJ having powers.

Naturally she had been pissed that her best friend had powers, but once he brought up how she left without even saying goodbye the serious conversation had quickly turned into one of laughter especially as she brought up the fact that by a stroke of luck the man she was currently in love with had powers as well.

David Jameson.

Probably the biggest mistake either one of the pair had made. The more CJ had thought about that man the more he wished he had killed the man when he had the chance.

In the beginning he had only put up with the man because he cared for Autumn and didn't want to see her struggle, but as time went on the three of them had become very close. With his brother away overseas on business, and more people continuously coming in, Jameson began acting as CJ’s right hand man.

But then shit hit the fan all too fast.

More people were coming in needing help which led to resources getting drastically low. CJ tried everything, but as fast as money came in it had disappeared just as fast. CJ and Jameson began to clash over what needed to be done as Jameson was willing to use any means necessary.

Then everything changed once Autumn announced she was pregnant. Jameson had been very happy at the thought of having a son while CJ felt like he had been kicked in the face repeatedly. Despite not being happy in the slightest, he began to work even harder for Autumn's sake…

But for Jameson that wasn't good enough.

In the months that followed Jameson began to question and undermine CJ at every turn and even gathered people to begin questioning his leadership. His Values had completely changed as the only thing that mattered to him were his wife and unborn child, and as a soon to be father his actions were understandable, but as a man he quickly became a monster.

Using the black market Jameson began targeting various other organizations and began murdering every last one of them as he robbed them of everything they had. He began enforcing his ideals on others and while many agreed CJ’s brother being one of them, many others Autumn included did not agree at all with these extreme measures.

Eventually a civil war broke out amongst them and Autumn cut Jameson out of her life entirely once CJ and his trusted allies won the battle. CJ never heard from Jameson or his brother again until Autumn gave birth to his child.

Jameson offering to take Jaden off Autumn's hands had been true, but as she told him she did refuse instantly which set Jameson into a fit of blind rage.

If CJ hadnt gotten to the hostpital when he did, he was certain that David wouldn't have hesitated to murder Autumn and her mother without a second thought. He swore he'd get Jaden eventually and that the pair of them had no right to keep him away from his father, and deep down they knew he was right, but Autumn was still his mom and the thought of her son ending up as viscous as his father was not a comforting thought.

Autumn asked CJ to maintain a close distance which he was completely happy with in the beginning. As much as he loved Autumn, Jaden was Jamesons kid and he had to respect that… What he wasn't counting on was falling in love with the kid the moment he laid eyes on him.

Everytime CJ visited Jaden was drawn to him so much that the man wasn't even allowed to leave the room unless he was taking Jaden with him. If he so much as put Jaden down for a minute he would throw the most unbelievable tantrum that CJ had ever seen leaving him no choice but to carry him around everywhere. At first it bothered him to no end because he was trying so hard to let Autumn go, but as the days went by he began to fall in love with her all over again, and develop a new love for her child.

He enjoyed the coffee they would share in the morning while Jaden still slept, the way he would squeal in delight whenever he turned into an animal for him to cuddle with, to the smile on both of their faces when he would come home from a long day.Eventually he couldn’t take it anymore; he had managed to fall in love with this women all over again, and he couldn’t keep going on without telling her how he felt. The only issue was earning Jaden’s approval. Even though Jaden was still a child at the time, and he had already made it clear that he loved CJ just as much as he loved his mother, that didn't change the fact that Jaden had been brought into this world with the help of another man.It might have seemed silly, but getting Jadens blessing was important to him since he wanted to make it clear that he would love him as if he was his own son.

He remembered the day he asked him very vividly. Jaden was only five years old at the time as CJ and Autumn had been dancing around their feelings that did nothing but grow stronger. Autumn had left to get more groceries since they could hardly keep food in the house with both CJ and Jaden having such large appetites.

CJ had called Jaden inside and with a shaky breath, asked him how he would feel if he and his mom decided to date. The memory brought tears to the grown man's eyes as he remembered how Jaden's face lit up that day and if it meant he could finally start calling him dad.

Two years later and the pair became happily married and after another two years they welcomed their little girl into the world. The day of her birth was one of the happiest days of his life next to marrying the love of his life… which made it all the more painful when Jameson showed up at their house the next day to offer his “congratulations”.

The fight that ensued afterwards carried on for what seemed like forever as it became clear that their former friend and lover had gotten stronger over the years. CJ had managed to chase him off, but considering the conversation that followed not a day goes by where he didn't wish he had killed him that day.

It became clear to Autumn that he was never gonna stop until he had his son, which meant that they would never be able to stop running.Because of his responsibilities,CJ couldn't leave and Autumn understood completely. It hurt the couple having to separate,but until they could guarantee the safety of their children, it was better if the children didn't know about either one of the men.

CJ had one of his men block out the children's memories of CJ and Jameson for their own safety,and he watched as the love of his life drove off into the night never to return to their old home.

CJ spent many days hunting for Jameson and his brother and came up short every time, leaving him to cry through the night over without his family for comfort.

Now after years of tailing them Jameson had finally made a move and this time whether or not he would succeed remained uncertain. The knowledge that the man had adopted three kids has surprised the both of them, even more so that Jameson went as far as to threaten his own son if it meant getting what he wanted.

He wasn't sure what the man wanted, but one thing he knew for sure was that he would sooner die than let anyone take his family away from him again.

The first order of business however, was getting everyone acting like a family. Madison and Jaden both seemed fine with his sudden reappearance,but at the moment all of their anger was directed towards their mother which was something he had to fix asap.

As the man walked up the stairs of the house he figured that Madison was already asleep by now so he would deal with her tomorrow, but after Jaden made the kitchen sink explode he figured it would be best to deal with him tonight.

With a heavy sigh, CJ prepared himself for the worst as he slowly opened the door to Jaden's room.
