After explaining the situation using bits of sign language and hand gestures, they told me to bring her in. They also said to bring in Rei, because I had made an appointment for her a few days ago to do a check up on her.
After I wrapped up the kitten and made a makeshift lead out of some spare rope, I set out, probably looking crazy. I was carrying a bundle of blankets and leading a large cow. When I got to the office, I contemplated on how I was going to get Ryu into the building. I ended up tying her “lead” to a pole and heading inside to know when I would be seen.
Walking into the building, I stepped up to the counter where I saw a silky chicken typing at a computer. I tapped on the counter and the lady looked up. She looked shocked to see me. I realized my hair was still wet and I was wearing cloths that were too big. I also noticed Ryu had gotten loose and followed me into the building. I silently sighed and tried to give the lady an apologetic look. I only now realized I forgot to put my mask on. I pulled my shirt up and gestured to the little kitten wrapped in a blanket.
“O-oh. Yes, you called earlier. I’ll tell the doctor you arrived. You will be seen shortly.” I walked over to the waiting area and sat down. I noticed a stand with face masks and grabbed one. Putting it on, I felt relief flow through my body. Ryu nudged my face with her head, and I patted her with my free hand.
After only sitting down for what felt like five minutes, I heard my name being called and I stood up, following the nurse who had called me.
“Now, um, why don’t you and the cow follow me.” I grabbed Ryu’s rope and followed her.
