"Stick with me, Jay," I got my binoculars out and started scanning the road. "The tow truck will be here any second."
"So what happens when the SUV gets towed?" Jay asked.
"I'll get control to notify Dru the Azerbaijani guinea pig about his car getting towed, and we'll see what he does next."
"I wonder why the car wasn't towed already. That makes no sense."
"I know right?"
"CZZZZ... Fard? Fard, this is Amit. Come in, over."
"It's Amit. The tow truck must be close," I turned on the comm. "Yeah Amit, this is Fard. Report, over."
"Hey Amit. Just checking in, I'm almost to the bank with the truck, over."
"Okay, Amit," I spotted the truck approaching the bank parking. "Yeah Amit I see you. Alright take the grey SUV to the impound, the one without a license plate. Over."
"Roger that, boss. Over and out."
"That's so cool, bro," Jay grinned. "You've got so many cops working for you, it's like we're in a movie!"
"I don't have anyone working for me, Jay. Amit works with me. Assistant Sub-Inspector Amitabh Kapoor, he's a good friend from work. We joined the force together."
"Do you have an A.P.C.?"
"Anti Pneumonia Cauliflower?"
"Armoured personnel carrier."
"No dude I don't have a tank," I rolled my eyes. "I don't even have someone at the office to make coffee for me."
"Aw man."
"Hey look," I pointed at the bank parking. "It's done, Amit is towing Dru's car. Let's get outta here."
"Fard, come in, I've got the SUV. Heading back right now, over."
"Copy that. Great work, Amit. I'll be at the office shortly, see ya there. Over."
"Understood. Over and out."
"Amit will contact Dru soon," I told Jay. "Dru should receive a message in an hour or two, telling him we've got his car and he can collect it from the impound and stuff."
"Okay," Jay nodded. "Are we going to back to the building?"
"Yes," I unlocked my police cruiser, "Get in the car, mate."
"This is awesome, man," Jay said as he made himself comfortable in my cruiser. "It's like I'm your assistant cop now. I've never felt more responsible in my life."
"You'd have made a great detective, Jay," I smiled. "What do you do, by the way?"
"I design advertisements. Stationery items, furniture, apartments, fake beauty products, things like that."
"Can you, uh, put my handsome face on some billboard?"
"No."
"Okay."
