Dorm life was one of the most exciting things about college. I’ve made many new friends in my first month here. Now I live with four of them in a dorm suite. Hades and me in one room, with a kitchenette and living room separating us from the girls, who were lucky enough to get individual rooms.

My first friend was Hades Reaper (ironic, I know). He was the typical type of goth boy, black hair, black clothes, black nails, black backpack. Everything he owned was black. He was shy and nerdy but a good friend.

Next was Fay Inger. She was fun and understanding. She would try to solve anyone’s problems. Fay was more ADHD than I was and she put that energy towards partying, her long, dark brown hair flying as she danced while her equally dark brown eyes glinted with excitement.

Mackenzie Monarch was the most popular girl in school. How she ended up rooming with us, I’ll never know. She always had a herd of minions following her bonfire red hair. Her bright green eyes could see into your very soul and extract your deepest darkest secrets. Everyone wanted to be her or date her, except for me.

I’m Taylor Lapin. I have short, fluffy, light brown hair and hazel eyes. I’m kind of a bookworm but I don’t look nerdy. I usually wear all black like Hades, but I like to add my favorite black knee-length coat like Sherlock’s. I love adventure novels and murder mysteries. I just never thought I would be living one.
