I almost couldn’t sleep due to the excitement of my dream coming true and the fear of failing. I had only closed my eyes for a second, but it was morning when I reopened them. I quickly got dressed in a grey t-shirt and black jeans, my coat, and long fingerless gloves. After breakfast I started my investigation.

*First things first, I have to check their stories. Rob and Stevie live on the first floor, so it should be easy enough to ask them if they saw Hades. Then I guess I’ll have to ask around if anyone saw Fay go in the bathroom or Lauren go to her room.*

Soon I was knocking on Rob and Stevie’s door. They answered almost immediately.

“Hi. Did you guys see Hades coming in or out of the bathroom before the trip yesterday?” I asked.

“This is about Mackenzie, isn’t it?” Rob asked. “News travels fast.” he replied to my questioning look.

“I saw him coming out,” said Stevie. “He looked kinda worried.”

“I passed him when I went into the bathroom.” Rob added.

I thanked them then went off in search of anyone who might have seen Lauren or Fay. No one on the first or second floors saw Fay or Lauren yesterday. Finally, after asking almost the entire dorm I finally found someone on the third floor who could corroborate their stories.
