Sometime after midnight I awoke to a ding from my computer. I had hacked into the school’s directory and ran the unknown number against the students and faculty. I was shocked to get a match and even more shocked at who it was, Hades Reaper! I hadn’t seen his number since he gave it to me nearly a year ago, so I didn’t recognize it when I first began my search. I glanced over to the sleeping boy in the bed across the room. Slowly, I tiptoed over and retrieved his phone. I had to be sure. My face fell as the evidence stared back at me. More than a hundred texts from Mackenzie demanding he complete her homework, or she would tell; forcing him to hack into the school to change her grades to A+ so she could keep her scholarship, or she would tell; get copies of the answer keys for tests, or she would tell. I sighed and put the phone back after erasing my tracks. I looked down at Hades before I returned to my side of the room. He looked so small and innocent, I couldn’t believe Mackenzie made him do those things. I needed to sleep on this, it was too much to take in all at once.
