Alright....Class is almost over, just need to keep focus on my essay and...

*Bell Rings*

I guess it is over. 

I get up and walk out of the classroom as usual, last of course, and as soon as I put my hand on the dusty brown door, "Kierra! Can I talk to you for a second?" I close my eyes and quickly open them, walking over to the ugly man saying 

"Yes, professor?" He lowers his glasses saying "If you got the job, make sure your school work stays great and well graded, because if you don't..." He starts laughing under his breath, as I stand there wanting to run out badly, "You won't be able to stay in college" "I got the job professor, and when I start today, i'll make sure that both my work and classes will be well managed" 

He looked at me in a bit of shock saying "Well worded, I did not think you'd get the job" "Haha, well can I go now, professor?" "Go ahead" I tilt my head to him quickly and walk out, running in my room, with Arseni not there, and take a breather. I prepare myself like i'm about to walk through New York City, but i'm just working part-time in a coffee shop, I guess being home schooled with no friends, can make me panic at times with situations that are not that worrisome.

Now that it is almost three o'clock, I get my stuff and make my way to the cafe, letting Arseni know by a note that I wrote. I take a deep breath and I walk in the busy cafe, filled with tired college students at each table, the typical white girls if I would say. 

I head to the counter, as if i'm about to order, and a guy comes up to me looking elated saying "Can I take your order?" I immediately answer back saying " No, actually i'm here for my first day of work" The guy looks at me for a split second to think, he begins to look around then says "Oh! Right, you must be....Sierra! Our new worker, right?" "Well, my name is Kierra" "Oh? Sorry" "It's okay. Kierra isn't common I guess" 

Seriously, this guy is nice, but come on.

As soon as he tries to small talk I guess, my now boss comes over saying "Their you are, on time, I love that the most, here i'll show you were to put in your time card, and then i'll have one of my best workers tell you what to do" 

Almost like he is in a hurry, he quickly rushes to his office, "thank you, sir" I say back, trying not to make it awkward. 

I put my time card in and wait for my co worker to show up. Eventually, meaning like ten minutes later, the guy shows up, he stands next to me, already looking bothered in the face as I noticed that this isn't any guy of course, but, it's Arseni's ex boyfriend, his name is Raines, but I forgot his last name, oop. 

Anyways, he starts saying to me, throwing his cloth over his shoulder in the cafe's dark blue uniform, saying "So, are you the new kid?" His voice is very deep, but, kind of sweet, okay, he's pretty handsome, but Arseni probably doesn't care anymore. 

Of course I'm a little shaken for some stupid reason, saying broadly "Yes, i'm the new hiree" "Hiree??" The way his face looked when I said that made me even more embarrassed by the cringe.

He seems to not be liking me right now, but he takes me to the cashier as the guy before is sent home as his shift is over, "see you tomorrow, Raines!" "Yeah, dude, i'm right here? Stop the screaming?" "Sorry" Then he rushes out, as I wait for more instructions. He shows me everything in a monotone voice, saying "This will be easy to handle, trust me, but..." He looks at me up and down saying "You do even look like you could kill a bug" "Yes I can!" I shouted at him. "Gosh, why does everyone yell in here, this isn't a bar it is a cafe" 

He begins to walk away and I have my first customer, but about almost two hours in, a girl has been checking on me and helping me out, instead of Raines, she helped me throughout my whole day actually, 

But...

Literally an hour into the job, i'm keeping up I would say, but all the employees are kind of...Ignoring me. 

Until....! 

Raines scares me as i'm writing some more words down for a poem i'm writing, or, Arseni's butterfly poem, i'm adding to it, because their is not a lot of customers right now, so.....Yeah. 

As i'm quietly writing, seeing if Raines will move or not, as he is just looking at me, he finally begins to say "What are you writing? Why are you writing that on the first day of your first job? What's wrong with you?" "We are literally about to close right now, i'm working the night shift now, okay, no ones here right now" "You can't do that on the first day of your job, you idiot!" As his voice echoes, he pauses, wondering if everyone else heard him as well. 

I'm not feeling well after this, Raines just makes me uncomfortable. 

"I write like this, because as a writer and artist, things like ideas come out of nowhere" He just stands there again saying "College student too, huh?" "Yes, i'm a freshmen, in the Art major" He begins to laugh for some reason, then walks over to me saying "Freshmens are funny" "I guess..." 

He begins to walk away, but remembering something I say "My name is Kierra, by the way" He stops in his tracks saying "I'm Raines, as you should know" "Yeah, but I would have known if you had actually told me what I was supposed to do throughout the day, instead of letting anger rain in your head" 

"What's that supposed to be, shade?" "No, i'm giving you direct sunlight" 
"What? I...I had Samantha come help you" "You did? Well, thank you then" "Whatever, it's time to go home soon anyways, clean up the place and get out of here, got it?" "Yes, I got it" "No writing either!" He says as he walks away.

Now own my way back to my dorm from rough cleaning and a disturbing manager, I'm listening to music and making my way to my dorm, but in the girls lounge, a bunch of girls are sitting around, laughing and playing music, so, I slowly walk in, seeing Arseni with the five girls, talking to one specific girl that kind of looks like Raines, that Black and Asian look I would say, except, this girl is darker than Raines, and she is super pretty. 

I walk over to Arseni in the quietest way possible saying "Arseni? What's going on?" She stops sipping her drink, looking a bit confused and embarrassed it seems that I showed up suddenly, so, she turns the music down saying "You're back, how was work?" In a tone of being bothered. "I...Had a great day" 

I didn't want to tell her anything about Raines working with me, you know, just in case. "Okay, that's great, keep up the great work" 

She uses her powers to put the cup back, but as she leans over, I make contact with the girl she was talking with. "Hi" She says to me with a small voice, so I say "Hello" back to her, causing Arseni to say "Oh, right? Kierra this is my high school friend named Jolena, she is Raines cousin, but, our friendship never ended" 

Wow Arseni. 

I say to her "I'm Kierra, her kindergarten friend" "Nice to meet you" "Thanks, I should be going back though" "Yeah, sure, go ahead, i'll be back soon" 

At her rate, probably at 12. 

Okay, i'm in the quiet dorm, and it's time to relax. 

*beep beep* 

Ugh, oh? It's Arledo, a text: 

"Hey Kierra, just wanted to know how everything went for you at work, hope you're doing well" 

"I'm fine, it was great, hope I can be really good at this" 

Woah Kierra, bad text, all well I guess, now let me listen to music, haha, talk to you guys tomorrow, I need to ponder about this day.
