Lapis explained the situation to the diamonds.

They were very surprised, scared and confused. That new era was perfect! How could someone want the old homeworld? And worst: Why could they want to crack Steven?!

Blue Diamond: No way...

Yellow diamond touched her shouder, trying to reconfort her.

White Diamond: But how is that possible?! And why?! They are free! They don't have to do that!

Pearl walked a near her. 

Pearl: We know, but they also tried to kill steven time ago. They want to be important again.

She took air.

Pearl: As an Aquamarine, she is in a hige state. As a Ruby who could came here with Rose's gem, she thinked she could be better than the other Rubyes.  as a Lapislazuli, she could terraform the earth and destroy it once for all, but... That changed.

With this new era, no one will listen to them as inportant gems. No one would apreciate them, so they want to change it, no matter what they have to do.

She stoped talking, and sat in the gem stairs. Connie went with her.

Connie: I know this is hard, but we can beat them. We'll help steven, no matter what we have to do.

She looked at Pearl with an energy look in her eyes, making her smile.
