After my epic life monologue, here I am, training again at this big training camp Tsurui bought for me, it has a big weapon room made with wood, some fences around the training zones, around 15 to 20 targets, and some dummies to combat training, now that I think about it, he really helped me a lot since we met, and he also shares the same dream as mine.
I've been training everyday for 2 weeks now, well I guess I need to know some magic and combat basics if I want to leave this island, the problem is my family.
My family was very poor, so I thought I didn't had any magic affinity, I mean, I still couldn't cast a simple spell, but it felt like combat was natural to me, somehow my physic abilities were a little bit higher than the normal 13 year old kid.
It also felt like my mana wasn't there, almost like I didn't had any mana, but that couldn't be right, it's impossible to have no mana.
My best friend Tsurui arrived, and called me.
"Hey Karuki! What are you doing?"
"I'm training." - I answered him.
Tsurui had a funny look at his face and said:
"Oh yeah, training, more like, sitting on the ground thinking about life, haha."
"Oh, shut up, i'm only tired. T-I-R-E-D." - I answered somehow irritated.
"Chill out bro, I gotta do some shopping, you can't train later, now come with me." - Tsurui said, and without even asking me if I wanted to go, he grabbed my wrist and started running to the city center, at the other side of the mountains.
After two minutes running we got there, I was surprised by how he could just cross a mountain by running for two minutes. I mean, he was always very strong with mana manipulation.
The city center was surrounded by mountains, and at the very middle, the castle of our ruler. At the other side of the mountain, is where the people live, rich families live behind the castle, poor families live at the left side of the castle, and mediocre families live at the right side of the castle.
In our village, the discrimination is very common, every now and then we can see some poor people getting beat.
Mana also discriminates people, mana only loves rich families, the poor families don't have the privilege of being strong, they are more like something that only exists to pay taxes.
I was once at the very bottom of the social classes, but a certain someone saved me, and now I can live a bit better, and oh my god, this guy following us is interrupting my life monologue.
"Leave us alone please, Mr. Stalker." - I said.
"What the hell are you talking about? I can't feel any presence." - Asked Tsurui confused.
"Yes you can, concentrate." - I answered.
"Oh, you are right! How couldn't i notice." - Said Tsurui, surprised.
"Mhm, yeah, I know I'm awesome, but now come out Mr. Stalker, just say what you want!" - I said that with a higher tone, so he could hear me this time.
A hooded man appeared right in front of me and said, with a really distorced voice, almost like he was using mana to hide is identity.
"Tsurui, the king needs you.
