Ihote prepares his cannon and shoots it, yet again missing Kenichi, but hitting the Feliticia statue, destroying it.

Kenichi turned back in shock as he saw this. Seeing the image of his mother taken down enraged him. No words could describe how pissed off Kenichi was now. "Taro, Machi, stand back. I'll finish this once and for all."

Ihote laughs hysterically. "You really think this will end that easily, don't you?! Heroes are things from fairytales, kid! Stop deluding yourself!"

Kenichi spit some blood to the ground and then got into a stance. "Bring it, you tyrant bastard."

The turtle stepped on the ground, smirking. "What could a little kid like you do against someone like me?" He said, cocking his cannon with his right arm and putting his axe in his shoulder with his left.

Kenichi looked at the debris that were once a statue, breathing deeply. "You've caused chaos in a peaceful city for what? A sense of power? Domination? Maybe I won't be able to do anything against you, but tiring you out so someone else can is the least I can do."

"Even after what happened? I can see you are out of SOUL already. You're pretty much dead at this point."

Kenichi positioned his sword between himself and his opponent, ready to fight. "You're going down... EVEN IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!"

As he screamed and jumped forwards, Ihote did the same, clashing his axe with Kenichi's sword, sparks flying everywhere.

"Then... PREPARE TO DIE!"

In another place, Bernardus is on the ground, defeated. "I'm such a goddamn loser... I couldn't even defeat a guy that doesn't even know how to use his SOUL... Is this the extent of my determination...? Pathetic..."

As an hallucination of Bella appeared, she pat his head, gently, letting him close his eyes and rest.

Ihote pushed Kenichi away and pointed his cannon at him. "KABOOM!" He shot it.

Kenichi actually dodged this by an inch, but the cannonball still grazed his cheek, leaving a cut in its trail. "Why conquer Feliticia?!"

"Well, I was gonna conquer it for my Lord, you know. As a gift."

"Your Lord...?"

"Yes. My Lord Akuma."

Kenichi's eyes widened. "You work for Akuma?!"

"Well... Not to my liking, that's the reason for all my plans."

"Plans?" Kenichi was confused by this.

Ihote just laughed at the boy's confusion and explained. "My plan is to overthrown Akuma and steal his powers!"

"Gh!" Kenichi mouthed.

"That's why I lied to that bear kid. I said his friend wasn't totally killed by Akuma and that'd I'd let him see her if he did what I wanted."

"You monster!"

"And with Ignis..." He looked at her. "Your friend Kitagawa must've received a letter to come here and find the runes, right?"

"How'd you...?!"

"Well, I know of that letter. I also know about that Akuma's weakness. You see, Ignis over here is one of the Six Legendary Runes, Akuma's anti-weapons."

Kenichi looks at a worried looking Ignis. She seemed uncomfortable knowing that Ihote just said that.

"I told her she'd see her old friend again, this one still alive, if she kept quiet in the peak of the mountain."

"Why quiet?"

"If she wasn't found by any of the Akuma's lackeys, I'd just need to find the other five runes and then meet her here, lead Akuma here as well and then kill him while using the runes!"

"You disgusting asshole... You can't even be loyal to the one you work for?!"

"I'm not like any of the Commandments, I don't own anything to Akuma himself."

"So Akuma's a he... Commandments?"

"Yes. Akuma has an elite force called the Ten Commandments. I don't know why they're called that, but there's that." Ihote put his cannon down and grabbed his axe with both hands. "Now... let's end this."

Kenichi looked at his own hand, moving it a bit. "I made him talk a bit so I could rest. I'm not sure if I even have enough to jump quickly or anything, so I'll only try using it in an emergency. Also, because of this, I ended up gathering lots of information about Ihote and Akuma..." He looks back, noticing that Tarozaemon and Machi had heard the conversation. "Now all I'm missing is tiring him out enough so that I can finish him off with the others. But how will I do that?"

Ihote started to run towards Kenichi, both of his hands on his axe. "Prepare to die!"

PRESENT DAY: XXXXX'X XXXX, TVARYN

The dark purple armored man walked around the halls of his lair, as a figure approached him, getting in one knee before him. "My Lord!"

"Oh, it's you Jystuz. What brings you here?"

"I heard that you were leaving the Lair, so I prepared your weapons."

"Good. I shall check on them first before going, but I'll probably leave without one."

"But Lord, wouldn't it be wiser to take at least something with you on your trip?"

"You insolent fool, are you telling me that my powers aren't enough?" He said, very calmly.

"No, my Lord! I just don't think that those plebeians deserve to even watch such amazing powers. After all, it's the Lord's powers we're talking about in here."

"Indeed, but you know I prefer using them over some fragile weapon."

"Of course, my Lord. Anything that suits your tastes."

"What about Ihote?" He'd asked.

"There's rumours that he plans on betraying you, Lord Akuma."

Akuma looks to the end of the hall, as if contemplating something. "That fool was always very undisciplined. My fault, I should say. Lack of work on my part."

"Don't say such things, my Lord!"

"But it's true, Jystuz. If I showed that fool my full power, maybe he'd keep himself in line and not try to betray me."

"Well, good thing I had a spy looking over him."

"Oh, really now? That's very good, Jystuz. Tell me everything you know."

"He's planning on conquering Feliticia for himself and tell you that's it's only for a small HQ for his lackeys. He also met the first rune and he's trying to get the other five to defeat you."

Akuma puts his hand on his helmet, slowly. "That damn fool... He's trying to ruin my fun."

"Your fun, my Lord?"

"Yes. I'm missing only the family stone of Tarozaemon Kitagawa for my plan, but facing him now is useless. I need them to get all runes to get a chance against me."

"Oh, brilliant! I do believe that will create a fine spectacle for you, my Lord! But... If I may ask, what are the runes?"

"Physical embodiments of the SOUL elements."

"Yeah, I know that. I mean, where did they came from?"

"I..." Akuma shakes his head slightly and gently. "... have no clue."

"It's quite amazing to know that there are even things in this world that even my Lord doesn't know of." Jystuz would then bow. "Shall we go check the weapons now then, my Lord?"

Akuma nods. "Yes. Let's go. You may lead the way."

PRESENT DAY: MAIN PLAZA, ROYAL CITY OF FELITICIA, TVARYN

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

As the battle progressed, Ihote laughed. "I have an offer for you, boy." His eyes focused on Kenichi.

"An offer?" Kenichi pondered on what this might be. Ihote didn't know anything about Kenichi, so it couldn't be anything like the deals Ihote had made with Bernardus or Ignis.

"Yes. Cease your resistence and join my forces. I'll train you in the arts of SOUL manipulation and even have someone to train your body. I can even get you some sex slaves if you want!"

Kenichi's eyed widened. This disgusted him more than anything. It was just like Ihote being the physical embodiment of everything Kenichi hated.

"Why make such an offer? You don't even know me."

Ihote laughs, letting his axe rest on the floor. "That's true, but I must say that I'm quite curious about your SOUL."

"My... SOUL?"

"Yes. While fighting Bernardus, it seemed that every time you focused your SOUL on a part of your body, you could deflect or reflect attacks. Sometimes even up your physical levels way beyond normal. If I had to guess, I'd say your element must be Psychic."

"Psychic, uh?" Kenichi said, not letting his guard down for even a second.

"Yes. The Psychic element is the rarest of all SOUL elements. Just the fact of having it makes people kinda like celebrities, even more if they know how to use it. To be honest with you, I never met anyone with the Psychic element, that's why I want you to join my crew. What do you saー?"

Before finishing his sentence, Kenichi spit on Ihote's face. "Join you? Are you serious? You disgust me more than anything I've seen in my life. I'd rather die before joining your forces!"

Ihote cleaned himself, before gritting his teeth. "Now you've done it..." As Ihote's whole body started to shine orange, it slowly sunk his feet on the ground, creating small craters.

Tarozaemon was alarmed by this. "Kenichi! Get out of there!"

Kenichi looked determined and got ready. "I'll slash you before you slash me!"

As they looked to each others' eyes, they both jumped forward, screaming at each other.

"No! KENICHI!" Tarozaemon screamed with all his might, trying to warn Kenichi of something.

Kenichi didn't care though and prepared for the clash, swinging his sword towards Ihote's neck, body flickering silver. "DIIIIIIIIE!"

As they clashed, Ihote's axe passed right through Kenichi's stomach. As he falls to the ground, he feels way too heavy to move.

"Uh? I feel... heavy... And hot... But cold...?" As Kenichi looks down, he sees half of his body missing, completely severed and some meters away from him. His guts slowly leaving his body in a mixed pool of organs and blood. "Eh...?"

"SANADA!" Ignis screamed. This scream would catch the attention of Machi, as she looked over to see what had happen. Though, before her, someone had already seen it...

"N-No... Ken..." Tarozaemon said, closing his fists with anger and looking away.

Machi just covered her mouth with her hands and started crying. After some seconds of exposure to that gruesome scene, she turned around to vomit.

As Kenichi's vision was fading, tears started to leave his eyes. "Are you... serious...? Now...? When I was so close to know anything...?" He starts to remember everyone that he met in Tvaryn so far: Tarozaemon, Machi, Ryuk, the scorpion mercenary, Gustav, Hetza, Bernardus, Borus, Ignis and finally, Ihote. As he finishes remembering those people, he starts to hallucinate, watching his mother floating above him, he extends his right hand to her, smiling. "So you were dead all along...? You were waiting for me...? Sorry... for making you wait..."

Bernardus, very injured, came back and noticed Kenichi's state. His eyes widened and he fell to his knees, tears leaving his eyes. "No... Kenichi..."

As Kenichi hand falls to the ground, his life ends there. As Ihote was distracted by this, Tarozaemon grabbed Machi and carried her away from there, not knowing what's their destination for now.

This is not the story of a single kid that got transported to this world. This is a story of many individuals that are interconnected by fate, unbeknownst to them. As their lifes get more and more tangled with each other, only time knows when they'll meet each other, yet again.

Though Kenichi's story may end here, the story for these other interesting and unique individuals has not ended yet. Machi Shirogane. Tarozaemon Kitagawa. Bernardus Ervhuk. Ignis. Ihote. All of them will show up again in this stage we call life.

As for me? Who am I? That's not the matter right now, but let's say I'm someone that you'll get to know way too well, but maybe not at all. It all depends on your perception skills, after all.

For now, we'll leave this world as it is and return at a later date.
