He never expected to leave the home he had spent his entire life inside. But then again he didn't have much of a choice after the stunt his mother pulled. He knows she is overprotective and overbearing, but this was a whole new level of crazy mama bear.

'I still can't believe she would think I would LIKE and arranged marriage. With my childhood best friend, of all people!'

He decided at a very young age that he would mate no other than his fated partner. Eliza, Victor's mom, decided that when he turned 30, she would intervene by setting up a marriage behind his back. 

It was at his birthday party dinner that his parents announced that the marriage would be preformed in 5 days. The location and preparations were already set up without his knowledge. Only his parents forgot about one thing:

Victor will never give up on fate.

The strong-willed wolf managed to jump out of his 3rd floor window, no problem, and left the house with only one thing on his mind:

The Woods.

He knew that people went into the woods to die, and yet, he didn't care. Anything is better than being in a relationship without his fated mate. As you can hear, Victor is our hopeless romantic or the story.

He begins to shift into his midnight blue wolf form, letting the transformation wash over him. He feels his bones cracking and reforming and falls onto all fours, now in his wolf form. He hears lights flickering on behind him, and Bear, his wolf spirit's name, urges him forward into the woods.

If Victor had any last thoughts to think before he was pushed into the dead end known as The Woods, it was too late. 

He was in The Woods. And there is no going back now.
