Chapter 6: Villain Attack!!
Deku’s P.O.V
We were on the bus heading to do Rescue Training.
I sat next to Uraraka and was talking to her about how amazing this place is.
Asui was looking at us.
“That quirk of yours looks awfully familiar to All Might,” she said, “Then again, a lot of quirks are similar to each other.”
“Right,” I said chuckling nervously.
“Well its a lot cooler than mine,” Kirishima said hardening himself, “Its good at a fight, but its kinda boring sometimes.”
Iida patted me on the shoulder.
“Congratulations again on becoming the class president,” he said, “Though I am curious who gave you that last vote.”
Uraraka whistled to herself.
“So how are things with Starla?” She asked me.
“Oh, well….. they’re going ok,” I said.
For some odd reason I wasn’t thinking of Starla as often as I use to.
After a few minutes we made it to the training facility.
We were all amazed at how big it was.
“Holy shit,” Bakugo said.
There were tons of areas such as buildings on fire, landslides and more.
“I call it…… the unforeseen situation joint,” said someone.
It was one of the heroes ’13.
“A gentleman hero who is good at rescue and support,” Uraraka said.
As he was talking to us about what was expected, Aizawa seemed uneasy.
He looked and saw some kind of black hole.
People started to emerge from it.
“What the….” Kirishima said.
“Nobody move, those are……”
…..Villains.
One of them had a lot of strange hands all over his body while another was looking like a shadowy figure.
“So where is he?” The shadowy figure asked, “This so called symbol of peace.”
I got in front of Uraraka and Starla.
More villains emerged, including the mysterious Nomus.
“They must’ve shut off the alarms to make sure nobody could see them coming,” Iida said.
Aizawa and ’13 got ready to fight them.
“You kids get to safety,” Aizawa told ’13, “I’ll handle these punks.”
He jumped down and started to fight them off.
We started to run.
“Well, this is a crazy simulation if I ever saw one,” Starla said.
I kept Uraraka close to me.
No way were they gonna land a finger on her.
A black hole emerged in front of us.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Asked the shadowy figure.
I got into a fighting stance.
“Our goal is to put an end to the symbol of peace, and we thought he’d be here today,” he said, “But it looks like his schedule was revised. No matter, as we will achieve our goal.”
I charged up energy.
“Not if we can help it,” I said.
Bakugo got in front of me.
“I call first dibs on him kid,” he said.
“How cute, you think you can play the hero,” the shadowy figure said, “Let’s see how tough you really are once I…. Separate the pack!”
He cast wormholes all around us pulling most of us in them.
“Deku!!!” Uraraka said.
I jumped over and caught her.
“You’re safe now!” I said.
“Thanks,” Uraraka said, “…..But you’re a little late!”
We were falling…… or so I thought.
Somehow we were floating in the air.
“Uraraka is this you?” I asked.
“No,” she said, “I’m not holding on with all fingers.”
I started to realize that it was me.
“I’m…… I’m flying?” I asked.
Uraraka was amazed.
We saw two other students at the bottom, and we floated down.
It was Denki, Jirou and Starla.
“Starla, are you alright?” Uraraka asked.
“I’m fine thanks to these two.”
“Midoriya, i didn’t know you could fly,” Denki said.
“Well me either to be honest,” I said.
“Um…… Deku?” Uraraka asked.
I realized I was still carrying her and put her down.
“Sorry,” I said blushing.
Jirou looked around.
“We must be in one of the zones,” she said, “Looks like they don’t know our quirks just yet.”
“Well fortunately, this one works well with my quirk,” Denki said, “Guess they aren’t as smart as they think.”
He failed to see me glowing.
“Damn it,” he said.
Uraraka smiled.
“You never fail to surprise me,” Uraraka said.
“Follow me,” I said, “I’ve done research on each of these zones before we got here.”
The other students were warped into various areas, but using their quirks they had attempted to escape and make it outside.
I heard some noises.
“What was that?” Uraraka asked.
It was a Nomu looking right at us.
It growled.
“Oh no,” I said.
“I don’t believe you’ll be going anywhere,” said someone else.
It was a villain with the quirk of Plasma.
“I am Beamer,” he said, “And I have the mission of using you kids as bait to lure out the so called symbol of peace.”
I got into a fighting stance ready to attack.
“So you think you have what it takes to fight me kid?” He asked, “Very funny.”
He shot a plasma attack at me knocking me out.
“Deku!” Uraraka said.
The Nomu grabbed her.
“Not so fast,” Beamer said.
“Get off me,” Uraraka shouted.
The Nomu brought her over to him.
She attempted to escape her grasp but Beamer was too strong.
“Get…. Off of her…..” I said.
The Nomu stepped on me keeping me restrained.
Beamer charged up enough energy to hold on his finger.
“I think an innocent bystander will be more than enough to make him come running after us.”
“Wait!” Jirou said, “She’s not the one you want.”
Her headphone jacks were secretly attempting to sneak past him.
“Its All Might you want right?” She asked, “I don’t think killing someone is going to get him to you. Maybe we can work something out….”
Beamer stepped on her headphone jacks weakening her.
Although he seemed cocky, he was also smart.
“You honestly think I’m that dumb to fall for your trick,” he said, “Either she dies, or you do.”
Those words got to me.
Almost at an instant I seemed to instantly push the Nomu off of me.
I then sped over to Beamer and knock him out saving Uraraka.
“Threaten my best friend again, and I will END you!” I shouted.
Some kind of green aura was flowing through me.
He got back up.
“Back for more are you?”
He shot more beams at me and I evaded them quickly.
I then shot an Aura blast at the Nomu, and another at Beamer who countered with another plasma beam.
“I think I know what to call my quirk now,” I said, “Aura Arts.”
“Doesn’t matter, cause you’re about to be a black stain in less than a minute!”
He shot another beam at me and I evaded it.
With a flick of my fingers I shot a green beam at him.
“Whoa,” I said.
He kept fighting me while Uraraka and the others dealt with the Nomu.
Starla used her quirk which was telekinesis and formed a shield around us protecting us from its attack.
“Wow, you’re pretty good with your quirk,” Uraraka said, “No wonder Deku took a liking to you.”
She smiled.
“So I got an idea,” she said, “I’ll force this shield back while Jirou goes to restrain it.”
“Got it,” Jirou said.
“Denki, you short circuit the Nomu while Uraraka finishes it off with a whack.”
“Nice plan,” Uraraka said.
“On three,” Starla said, “One…. Two….. THREE!”
She then forced the Nomu back and everyone did what they were instructed.
Jirou restrained it while Denki charged for a thunder shot.
The second he fired, Jirou got out of the way.
Uraraka grabbed something, made it weightless and slammed it at the Nomu.
It was down for the count.
I was still fighting off Beamer.
Despite my best efforts he still kept coming.
“Man he’s tough,” I said to myself, “I wish I had a pair of nunchucks or…..”
Suddenly the green aura formed into a pair of nunchucks.
“Whoa,” I said.
I decided to use them to whack Beamer in all sorts of areas.
I then imagined a bo-staff and hit him again.
I used a variety of martial arts attacks and knocked him into the water.
Uraraka and Starla came to me.
“Are you ok?” I asked.
“We’re fine now,” Starla said smiling.
They started walking back.
I was relieved that Uraraka was safe and sound.
I always thought I had a thing for Starla after the past few weeks we spend together but then I realized….. there was someone else.
Uraraka’s P.O.V
We made it out of the area to see All Might rounding up the villains.
Mr. Aizawa however was brutally injured from the fight.
All Might looked at us.
We were all safe and sound.
“You all have done well to survive this unexpected attack,” he told us, “I expect great things from you in the future.”
We all cheered knowing that All Might saved the day.
Later we were being evacuated and I saw Deku talking with Iida about something.
Starla approached me.
“Can we have a little girl chat?”
Later we were somewhere else.
“So, how do you know Midoriya?” She asked.
“Well, we’ve been friends for a long time,” I said, “My parents died when I was a kid and, his parents took me in.”
I remembered the good days we had.
I also helped him with his martial arts training.
Starla knew something.
“Well, from what I see, it seems like you two were meant for each other.”
I started to blush.
“What?!” I asked, “No way, I mean… I’m sure you two have a thing for each other.”
Mina approached me.
“Girl will you stop denying it?” She asked, “Don’t shove your feelings away forever!”
“Well I will say he is cute, but you two have been friends longer than I’ve known him,” Starla explained, “From the looks of it, I can tell you really like him.”
I sighed knowing I could no longer deny my feelings.
“I do,” I said.
“Then the best thing for you is to tell him how you feel,” Starla said.
I smiled.
“You’re really nice,” I said to her, “I think you and I will be great friends.”
“Not as great as you and Izuku.”
Deku’s P.O.V (Again)
Iida was trying to get me to admit that I liked Uraraka.
“No,” I said, “She’s my best friend, and I doubt she feels the same way!”
“Midoriya stop,” Iida said, “You have been best friends ever since you were young, and you’ve had each other’s backs for a while.”
I couldn’t deny it no matter how much I wanted to.
“You win,” I said, “I’ve liked her for a while now.”
He patted my head.
“That wasn’t so hard now was it,” he said, “Now all you have to do is confess to her. Let your feelings out!”
I wanted to but I was starting to deny myself
I honestly did not want to ruin our friendship with some silly crush on her.
“But what if she doesn’t feel the same way?” I asked, “Or what if she secretly thinks my quirk is lame? Or what if…. What if she actually likes Bakugo?”
“Midoriya I can’t give you answers to those questions, but if you don’t talk to her, or tell her how you feel, you’ll never know.”
“Dude just go talk to her!” Kirishima said.
“Hey, this doesn’t concern you,” Iida said, “…..He’s right though.”
I decided I was gonna do it, now or never!
We were back at the main classroom.
It was time to man up and tell her.
She also approached me.
“Pretty rough day huh?” I asked.
“Tell me about it,” Uraraka said smiling, “But at least we made it through.”
We were both blushing.
“Uraraka/Deku?” We asked in unison, “Oh sorry you go first…. No I insist.”
She let me go first.
“So you and I have been friends for years now,” I said, “It started out as friendship but….. those feelings have grown stronger day after day.”
People were listening.
“I’m not usually one to talk about my feelings or speak my mind when I need to,” I said to her, “But the thing is….. I really really like you Uraraka.”
She blushed.
“You mean as friends?” Uraraka said.
“No I mean,” I said, “I mean more than….. its kind of….. I….”
“Is it that hard to confess?” Denki said.
I glared at him to shush.
“I like you more than friends,” I admitted.
Uraraka blushed.
"But.... why would you like me?" Uraraka asked, "I'm just some plain girl who doesn't have a lot on her mind and...."
I stopped her.
"You're not plain or boring," I said, "You're determined, well rounded, kind, supportive, and on top of that encouraging."
She blushed.
“And honestly, when I saw Denki asking you to dinner, I felt kinda jealous,” I said before turning to him, “No offense.”
“None taken,” he said.
“Basically,” I said, “But what I'm trying to say is.... I want you to go out with me…… as my girlfriend.”
Uraraka blushed even more.
Now I screwed up big time.
“Look I understand if you don’t feel the same way," I said, "After all I'm just some nerdy looking guy that was a late bloomer…"
She stopped me and felt my face.
"You're not a nerd," she said to me smiling, "And even if you were I'd still be around you, and more importantly, no matter how bad things get, you always work hard to achieve your goal."
I blushed and smiled.
“To answer your question about going out with you, yes,” she said, “I’d be glad to be your girlfriend.”
She smiled at me and I smiled back.
“YES!” Mina said, “This calls for a celebration.”
Bakugo smiled in approval and Starla was smiling at him.
And that concludes Act 1 of Ultra Academy. What adventures await Deku and friends? Will the League of Villains strike back? Does Deku have anymore surprises with his newfound Quirk? Tune in and find out in Act 2!
