*Sniff, Sniff*
"Caiser, there is a girl hidden under here! We need to help her." said Kodan.
"Ready, one, two, lift. I see her! Lift the one that's right over her and she'll be able to get out." Caiser said. "Ma'am, are you alright?"
"Ahh....D-dog!" stammered the girl.
"Ok, Caiser go over there and wait for me and this girl." Kodan commanded.
"Thank you for helping me out, Mister. I was wondering if anyone would have seen me or even survived at all, " the girl as she muttered out the last part. "I really appreciate it."
"No problem, miss. This here is my br--err...pet wolf, Caiser. He is kind, helpful, and wouldn't hurt a soul, " said Kodan, "You wouldn't hurt this pretty girl, would you Caiser?" as the girl's cheeks redden.
"Arf!" Caiser barks. He was excited to have found a survivor. His heart was beating as wild as an animals. He was a wolf after all. When he picked up the girl and put her on his back, at first she screamed. But then he suddenly turned back into a human and she ran off. She ran into a forest and almost got crushed by a rotting tree and died. But once again, Caiser's strong grip held her in place.
"What the heck?" she said. "What's going on?"
"Hey bro, do you mind slowly explaining to the pretty girl who I am and why I turned into human?"
"Sure," said Kodan as he explained the whole story to the girl. (refer to ch1 if needed to refresh your memory)
The girl, as they had found out later on to be named Aira, was bubbly and had a happy personality. She was very carefree and the brothers thought that she does not have a proper grasp of the situation. They tried multiple times to explain to her what had happened but she changed the subject each time. Eventually, they stumbled upon a city that was almost intact. They found nonperishable food and a place to sleep. To their surprise, they had not run into anybody in their days of scavenging for supplies. It had been almost a week and no one had appeared.
All of the people had suddenly disappeared due to shock or had run and gotten killed from debris. No one had survived. Luckily many of the supplies had been intact and were available. Things that they took: light backpack, canned food, emergency supplies(first aid kit, etc.), bottled water and many other things.
They moved on thinking everything was fine. But in the distance there was a boom. No one suspected anything because of the recent events.
