ARTIST NOTES:
- This page is based off the very first cutscene of swsh, where the player character watched the exhibition match! It was such a perfect set up for the tone of the game I simply had to include it in here!
- Tumble does indeed have a mom! Her name is Elinor Smith. No dead parents backstory here, his mom has full custody of him and his dad is (irrelevant to the plot) a deadbeat who walked out years ago. Such is the life of a Pokemon protagonist~
- Tumble and Hop are bffs!! best friends! this will of course be elaborated on in future pages, but they've been friends for about two years now!
- In the first part of this page I went for more of a sketchy/storyboard look to separate it visually from the rest of the page! There's a few clues and foreshadowing hidden there that allude to future events
- As for what Elinor calls Hop... that too shall be revealed soon ;)
