Jessie looks back at the monster above her, rearing it's deformed canine head out and howling at her. Jessie took the moment to rub some dirt off her face, only to smear it but didn't care about that. All she cared now is that she was in the clear and hopefully freedom for her is outside that door. She laughs at the monster and flips it off before going into the door, knowing that she doesn't have to worry about that aberration anymore.
The next room, it leads to what seems to be a dark industrial hallway. Certainly a strange segway from the dirt room, but this place certainly was not without its surprises like the lab. Flashing her light downwards, she doesn't see the other side but just a dark abyss. Little worried if this is the way out, Jessie continues to walk down. Sounds that occupy this eerie space are her steps on the metal floor and her breathing, making the feeling much more chilling.
"Jesus, what the hell is up with this place?" Jessie mutters to herself confused and tired of the strangeness of the hospital's secrets. "Please God, just let me out of here."
After walking down the eerie and empty hall, a chainlink gate appears from the darkness. While seeing through it, it still dark behind it yet might be a sign that an exit is near. Entering it and closing it behind her and finds inside some sort of storage room for spare parts, though she's probably the first person to enter here for a very long time(minus the two criminals from earlier). But these are long rusted and are of no use, Though she checked around just in case there was something of interest or anything to help. Nothing really of note for her, and moved on to the tunnel. Shining her light forward, the hallway seemed like it would last forever.
But she heard a sound coming far behind her, and it was a sound that made her heart sink.
It was a huge roar that echoed down, and that could be only one thing. Jessie aims her light in the direction, and at the farthest point where the light could reach, she could see that wretched abomination running towards her at full speed. Jessie turns back and runs, she runs for her life into a hallway where she doesn't even know if it ends. The beast is so fast that it quickly catches up to her and is hot on her heels, Jessie barely just keeps her pace ahead of it. But it would only take one trip or mistake to cost her life, and Jessie does her best not to make that fall.
With no exit in sight, Jessie does see one of the pipes lining the halls bent into the walkway. Running into it would be death for her, but thankfully she jumped out of the way. The beast behind her didn't and it trip, falling forward and hitting the ground hard. This gives Jessie enough time to get a head start. Though thankfully for her, There was room coming up and it was an exit. Should would be so happy, but now is the time for celebration for her with the beast nightmares right behind. Running in, she notices it has a metal gate. She quickly closes the heavy door as it slams into the ground, and testing it trying to lift it but it was way too heavy to move. Good, she thinks to herself that she now has a solid barricade.
Then the beast jumps in but crashes into the gate. Like a wild dog, it barks and roars in frustration that it couldn't reach its prey. Jessie stands there, trying to catch her breath, thankful that she survived, and just in shock as she watches the monster try desperately to break in. But after moments, it knows it would a vain attempt to reach her. It snarls at her and as it turns back and runs off into the dark.
Jessie turns to the other side of the room, seeing that there's a ladder and nothing really else. She goes up to it and shines her light to the top, seeing that it leads to a manhole of some sort. Having no idea where it would lead, Jessie climbs up to know it has to be a way out. Reaching it she pushes it up and to the side and climbs out.
"Please, please let this be the outside world." She grumbles as she pulls her self out of the hole.
Finding her self inside a wooden structure that was left in ruins. Her heart drops when she thinks she's stuck again in another building until she realizes that this was a tiny room with windows. It was the guard post that's at the entrance to the hospital. Sighing with relief she carefully exits the shack and decides it's time to go back to her car. She walks back up the road back to the building, Just like earlier that night but without excitement. Walking around the yard, she finds her car and hops in. She sits there for a few moments, trying to relax and take a breather after the nightmare in the building. She takes one more look at the wretched hospital and starts her car.
Driving off she heads back to her apartment, though the ride back was dead silent. She was covered in dirt and her mind replaying the moments of her being chased. While Jessie liked horror movies and watching dangerous stuff, it was far different in real life than staged Hollywood productions. Seeing two guys die before her was terrible, but to ease herself self she reminded herself that those guys were criminals would have either raped or killed her or maybe both. And maybe there was some justice in the world that she made it out and those two got left behind to be forgotten. Or at least that thought made it easier for her, though all she wanted now is to get the hell out of here and back home.
----
Months have gone by for the horrific night at the hospital, but Jessie surprisingly is holding up quite well. While still suffering nightmares about the events that went down there, talking to the event to her therapist (though altered a bit to make it more believable) has also given her more closure. Also finding those 2 criminals from an online databasedshowed that those two where highly dangerous and plenty of charges, ranging from murder, rape, drug possession, and plenty more horrid acts. So with that in her mind, the world is a better place without them and they got what the probably deserved. Or that's what she tells herself to help her sleep at night.
With all this, Jessie still takes up with her hobby of urbex. Though this time she's much better prepared with tools and even gotten herself a handgun license so she is always carrying just in case. That and she also started to invite friends to go with her too, exploring all kinds of spooky and dank buildings let to rot. Thankfully now she hasn't had any run-ins with criminals or monsters that stalk these old ruins, though paranormal activity is a big maybe.
Currently, Jessie is now sitting at her apartment in front of her computer. TV playing local news in the other room, she has it on for background noise while she researches her new location. Jessie and a few friends are planning on going to an old abandoned theater in the next town over, an exciting location as she never urbex a theater before. Though while reading, she looks over at the TV hearing about them mentioning the forest outside of her town. The one right where that old hospital she visited months ago. Sometime after she left, there's been a rise in missing people in the area. Leaning over, she can see that there's an interview with a camp survivor. It started minutes ago, but the key part just came up when Jessie started watching.
"I'm telling people, it ain't a bear out here that killing these campers. Last time I remember, bears don't have three arms. This bastard 3rd arm had some sort of wicked-looking spike, kinda like the one you see on a praying mantis." Jessie's heart dropped remembering that night. "Thank god I camp with my shotgun handy, shot that big ass fucker. It also had the most pants-shitting scariest scream I have ever heard. Don't know how to explain it, it sounds like a man screaming with a wolf howling at the same time. But the bad news is that I didn't kill it, or at least found the body, but I swear to god and my moms grave that... Thing is what killing people out here."
