As I lay rubber down the street
I pray for traction I can keep
But if I skid and start to slide
Please dear god
Protect my sweet ride

There was once a race car driver.
His driving skill and car were unrivaled.
He wandered the asphalt highways connecting societies all over the world, in search of redemption for a grave mistake he made long ago.
If the driver came across injustice, crime, suffering, or corruption, he would fight to protect those in need.
Soon, he won so many races, and helped so many people, that he became a hero.
As the years passed, the world began to change.
Politicians were replaced by CEOs.
Cities became segregated by wealth and social status.
Cars were replaced by a network of self driving vehicles.
Soon, the driver faded away into myth, becoming nothing more than an idea to many.
But the few who still remember him say that in our darkest hour, the driver will return.
