Will we ever get to see Lina and her hubby in another reincarnation? -from JellyPo
I honestly never thought of that, I don’t know just yet. I haven’t started on the base plot yet so that may or may not be an Easter egg. I'll see if I can sneak it in.. ;)
Are other stories going to be in the same universe? -from JellyPo
I don’t think I will do that, the world that was created was one made of a silly bedtime story told to a friend. If it has to do with sleep or there's a character oriented to the sleep world I could see the possible bridging of two worlds.
Malum seems important, could we get more information on them and how they work? -from JellyPo
Malum is male or a ram in this world. He may end up morphing and changing. But he was born from love, sweat and blood, literally. The Witches were devastated; they had powers but didn’t have the power to give birth to a child. One day a grieving widow came to a Witch, seeking the help of a Witch to save her child. In payment she gave her husband's ring, why she did his and not hers, no one knows. But when the Witch took the ring in her bloodied hands, the ring absorbed the blood. Then it spoke as a rams skull emerged from the ring.
“Dear Witch, for your dedication and kindness, I bless you with a child. Your hardwork and labor will not be forgotten in the eyes of Him.”
A baby then formed in her arms, a child with horns, a boy. They would share the same fate as their mother, cursed to the wrong body.
I would love to learn more about Lina’s grandma and Witches overall. -from JellyPo
Lina’s grandma is for one, a badass, and two, well I didn’t think much about her when I was writing. One reason my next project is going to take longer is because I am going to be focusing on more in depth characters and plots. I am sad to say that the grandma is very important but has little to no information.
Witches are males that are mentally females. They in no way fit their bodies. The whole concept of power, I based that off their confidence and beauty. They become so goddamn beautiful that it puts all other ladies to shame. They are an inspiration, this was also a bit of guilt I've held. I attended a pride event and I was shocked by a few transwomen. I have a feeling I looked like a hissing cat, I feel terrible for judging them. I was intimidated by how much they stuck out of the crowd. I just feel bad for it the more I think back to it.
Are any of Lina’s experiences inspired from your life? -from JellyPo
I think for me the thing that I most relate to when it comes to Lina is accepting my body. For a time I was transboy, I knew something was changing as I got older. But then my mom's friend brought up Fluid gender. I felt so much more related to that, I came out to my dad later as that. Of course there was a bit of a roughed up road ahead when I came out to him. But I finally came to what I was really feeling. I recognize my female body, I can’t change my DNA. I also found I just wanted to be respected as a person, not a girl, a human being. I’m breathing just like the guys I hang with. Why do I get treated differently? I might also be a feminist but i'm unsure about that as of now. So I identify as female, but I find names hard. Why the hell do I even have a name? I think that's where I came to make names a sacred thing in marriage. It's passed around like a baton but it's precious, anyone can take it and misuse it.
Are there Witches that only do one type of magic? Like making potions or something or is it only one overall type of witch? -from JellyPo
I didn’t think deep into it, like I said before this story wasn’t thought out the best. So we will go with all magic, they just don’t have the mentality to use it at its full potential, that may change for the newest Witch...They do make the Jewelry out of sweat, tears, love, and hardwork. When they wear it long enough a baby will be formed from all that went into it.
What was your inspiration for this story? -from baffinghaze
I told a bedtime story to a person with the name Lina. No they are not trans! But the whole sheep thing came from like counting sheep. It's hard to explain but basically this story was based off a half-assed bedtime story XD
Why did you pick sheep-people as the characters? -from baffinghaze
Like mentioned above, it was a joke for the counting sheep to fall asleep deal. Sheep are associated with sleep so I went off that.
What’s your favorite POV to write? -baffinghaze
That's a hard question, I like writing in first person because then it feels like it's being told and not just us peeping into characters lives. It feels wrong to write about these characters, for me it’s stalking and disrespectful to them. So if I am ever to describe a scene it will be in the first person view of one of the characters and not to be confused with third person. If I ever do third person it’s for a specific purpose/reason. I can’t say it's my favorite, but I do prefer it and am used to writing in that way.
Thank you for giving me some questions to answer! I'm glad you enjoyed this story and I hope you enjoy the next one!
I have some good news-I have some characters and events figured out! I am going to write the whole story before I start posting it. I would like to keep a constant schedule this time around. I'll see what I can do for teasers and spoilers! I expect this to be a 3 month project at the very least, but I want to make sure its good quality and quantity!
