Darkness consuming the sky. Thunder roaring against the ground. Earthquakes obliterating pathways. Birds flocking away from the ocean waves. Monsters roaming among the lands. The natural ecosystem, interrupted by this phenomenon.
A lone warrior stood for the weak. He readies his blade, slaying monsters from left to right. With valorous effort he ends the threat with ease. Though he fights alone, with his trusty blade he never falters. However, one day a strong foe came to challenge this warrior.
Bringing his demonic army with him. The general gave his name, “The names, Melgun Bullbuster, what about yours human?” The warrior did not give his name, he had a mysterious aura to him.
Grinning Melgun yells out loud, “Mwahaha, not one to talk, are you? No matter. I will assume you are a so-called hero by your people.”
Jumping a far to his pillar Melgun tells the hero, “If you can deal with my men, then you are worth my time. Until then, hero.”
Surrounded the hero warrior clashes with the demon army. Ruthlessly brutalizing the massive army. Some lost their arms. Many suffered torn organs from his blade. Although they were many in number, the hero kept going. Not only was his speed hard to keep track of, should they lose a mere image their lives were gone in an instant.
With the piled corpses of Melguns' army, Melgun awakes from his slumber.
“Not bad hero. It seems you will not disappoint me at all.”
Releasing the pressure Melgun has been confining within himself he bellows out a roar. His voice echoed in a ghostly wail his tone began changing as well as his body. The muscled arms took the shape of dragon scales. Chest bursting into a hulking brute enlarged in rapid pulses. His legs started to twist and deform almost looking like that of a deer's legs. His head morphed into a bulls head with his nose taking the features of a pig. He had fangs tusks which grew to alarming rates.
Finishing his transformation Melgun grabs a battleaxe that morphed into his liking. Sprouting bat-like wings from his back he flies into the air. Pointing his blade at Melgun, the hero charges at him into the air.
The hero was near Melgun, he readied his axe. Swinging the moment the hero came into his range. In turn the hero somersaulted with his sword hoping to end Melgun in one strike.
However, both deflected each other’s strike. Quickly taking the advantage of their size, Melgun attempted to chokehold the hero’s throat. Reacting fast enough the hero paralyzed the generals arm by kicking the bottom muscles. Hoping to end this quickly the hero takes his blade and attempts to stab Melguns throat.
Before he could do so, Melgun shrouded himself with a miasma of dark matter. Keeping his distance the hero evaded the magical attack.
Back to back all you could hear were metals hitting against each other. With both adversaries seemingly equal in terms of power. The battle waged on.
As the sun and the moon took turns dancing around the two. Each interval you can see blow from blow and spells from both parties. A long battle indeed, it was uncertain who would be victorious.
After time passed. Both were exhausted, both were also injured. None could take any further steps, all they could do was stare fiercely at each other.
Tired and weak. The hero slowly advanced towards Melgun. Taking a breather before making a move, Melgun puts all of his energy to make a final strike.
Struggling to move the hero uses his sword as a cane. Poking and dragging the sword in a repetition pattern slowly. Not paying attention he realized he was already neck to neck with Melgun.
With a wide grin Melgun spoke aloud.
“Mwahaha hahaha… magnificent you are. You are good. No! You are amazing! What fine strength, what speed, what power you possess. Just too great. If any other general fought surely you would win, but against me. You seem to have lucked out...this is the end, hero!!!”
Believing it to be his victory, Melgun swings his axe vertically, cutting the hero in half. Or so he thought.
Piercing noises* with an energy blade
“Gwaaghh” blood sizzles and spurts from the heated blade.
Looking behind him Melgun sees the hero holding his sword with both hands. Breathing heavily the hero put his entire strength to thrust deeper into Melguns heart.
Crying in pain Melgun realized that what he slashed his axe at was just an after image of the hero. Although cut in half you can see that Melgun fell for the hero’s trap.
“I see… I was a fool. The moment we stopped clashing you hid behind me while I was distracted by your clone…”
With no hesitation the hero ignited Melgun ablaze. The damage he took was serious, as his body started to churn like charcoal. As he was withering away, he gave the hero some last words.
“Mehehe, hahaha. Don’t think it’s over the hero! For when my master is revived this world and everything in existence will fall to his rule.”
“Th-there’s someone stronger than you…?”
The hero finally spoke, he was nervous.
Gleefully seeing the expression before his death, “Hahaha!!! What is wrong?! Not as smug as you used to be?!! It seems you have become frightened!”
With only his head remaining Melgun says his final words, “Well done human, I Melgun Bullbuster accept my demise against the hands of you the hero… the next battle you face will be even harsher than the one you had with me. Farewell hero, best of luck...mwaagahaga!!!!”
Turning into nothingness Melguns laugh can still be heard, even when he has been turned into ashes his voice still carries on in the calming winds.
With the battle over, the hero falls to the ground exhausted.
Light shines down into the crack of a broken dome.
Zip* zip* can be heard close by a self-made cave with metal pods closed tightly, making it look like a self-made shelter.
Apparently I have been asleep for 17 years, and finally woke up in the middle of autumn. I guess you can say I finally woke up from my long comatose state. I am even surprised I survived for this long. Is it fate that kept me out of harm's way? I don't know but what I do know is that I must survive. I for some unknown reason have basic knowledge of surviving. Won’t question myself too much, must spend all my brain power on fortifying my shelter.
