“…And you are?” Konya asked, spinning the halo around one of his fingers.
“An angel.” Dareka answered, watching the halo intently.
“You should take better care of important things like your halo then.” Konya chuckled. “You want it back?”
“Yes!” Dareka said hopefully.
Konya’s expression was flat. “You ain’t getting it back.”
“What! Why not!”
“Why are you here?”
Dareka crossed his arms, “…To find the person who killed me.”
“Well that’s direct.” Konya laughed, inspecting the halo. “How can you prove to me you’re an angel?”
Dareka grumbled. He walked over and took a hold of his halo just with his hand and up he levitated. “See?”
“Wooow.” Konya yanked the halo back, watching as Dareka fell hard to the floor.
“Ouch!”
“You look familiar…” Konya said with a shrug. “Can other people see you?”
“Maybe..” Dareka shrugged, sitting up rubbing his nose. “I’ve never dropped my halo before…”
“How long have you been dead?”
“A year…”
Konya nodded. “Fine… I’ll help you find the person who killed you, then you can have your halo back.”
“What’s in it for you?”
He smirked, “Teach me about death.”
