"Tell me why you were in the woods, Victor." Kye asked him, honestly curious. Victor knew his story, but he wanted to know everything about his soulmate.

Victor was taken aback. "She found her fated mate a while ago. Her parents think of her as a piece of property, just something to trade. I feel bad that I ran away that night, leaving her to fend for herself, but I couldn't marry her.

"I wanted so badly to find my fated mate, and to make him mine. To have many pups and live happily ever after."

Victor chuckled. "We have GOT to talk sex ed."

"What's sex ed.?" Kye tilted his head to show his confusion.

"Male shifters have enough female organs to get pregnant and carry children. While females can get pregnant at any time, like a human, males can only be impregnated in their heat.

"Heat is when fertility spikes to a high, making it almost impossible NOT to get pregnant. When heat happens, omega's release a scent that makes alphas around them want to claim them, and go into a rut.

"An unmated omega that goes into heat can be very dangerous to the the alphas in the area. They will attack anything in their path to get to the omega."

Kye looked shocked. "So I can have kids?! Am I pregnant now?!!"

"Probably not. That was your first heat, so you should be fine until your next one."

"Do you.. want to have kids?"

"Only of you want to." Victor stated, smiling.
