13. A month later, Gree gets a call from Derek, and Derek finally gets the confirmation...

That he is indeed the father. 

And four months from then, they all find out, including his friends that the baby is indeed a girl, and her name is.....

Mikatu 

Nine Months Later

Micah is nineteen now, and coming back from work, which he works in retail, he sees a note on his door from Gree, saying: 

"Sorry Micah, I won't be here for a while, i'm staying with some friends around the corner, so, if you do need anything, just call, see you next week" P.S. They begged me, this is what happens when your best friend gets an divorce, and also, it's actually best not to call me" 

Micah starts thinking too himself, "friends? What friends does Gree even have? He keeps many secrets I guess, too bad he might not be able to see Mikatu born, she could come anytime this week" 

After he says this, as soon as he walks in the house, he gets a house call from Jun's parole officer, saying "Micah Liendo, you are appointed to be here today to see your sister's baby, who was just born today, and also, please, tell Mr. Hoshida we've been trying to contact him, let him know we've been calling please" "Alright" "We have one on the way now to pick you up" 

The police officer shows up and picks up Micah, taking him to the prison. 

And once they get there, the cop follows Micah inside, all the way to Jun's cell. "Are you supposed to be following me?" "Yes, now go inside, the baby is waiting" He says with a strict deep voice. "Yeah, I can hear her" 

Micah walks in, while seeing Mikatu crying in her mothers arms, Jun holds her tightly, trying to get comfortable with the baby in the uncomfortable atmosphere, but they gave Jun pillows and a sheet, so, she seems to be laying comfortably.

Jun looks up, with a happy look on her face saying "Micah? You're here! Thank goodness, look at her, isn't she beautiful" "Yes, she is" Micah sits by Jun's side, rubbing Mikatu's head, her fluffy tiny jet black hair she has.

"She already has hair, hehe" "Yeah, so did I when I was born, mom and dad have many pictures" "Yeah, I've seen them" 

Jun starts to look around wondrously saying "Is Derek here?" "No, I don't know if he can come or not" "But he's the father?" "Yeah, hopefully he can come" "Well, where's Gree?" "He's stuck with his friends apparently, he wrote a note saying so" 

Jun's face dulls it seems, as if him not being there really felt off or strange.

"I'm glad you named her Mikatu, it's so pretty" "Yeah, it was mother's nickname, so, had to keep it alive" "She'll live up to her name" 

Micah sits up, then suddenly Jun says broadly, "are you and Leli a thing yet?" "Yeah, we have been for over a year" "That's great, keep the family alive, you hear" "I will" "Good" 

Suddenly, the officer from before comes in and tells Micah "It's time" "Oh, times up I guess, i'll keep in contact" He says this while holding her hand, and kisses Mikatu on her forehead. "Oh, and we will get you out" "I know I will" She whispers to him.

Micah waves to her and leaves, but, runs into Derek as he has an officer with him as well. "Hey Micah" "Hello, Derek" As the tension becomes awkward, they walk away from each other, as the officer takes Micah home. 

And while home, he ponders over Gree, as it overflows his thoughts, even well than everything else.
