I love the contrast between the memories, the present day scenes and Sam's thoughts! He was still insecure back then with Lina, always wondering what she saw in him and worrying that it might be over at any moment. That's why he made up a different name for himself, not really because he wanted to climb the social ladder because he wanted to blend in. I love Lina's character, how she constantly tries to assure him that there's no need for all that, that he should be himself, even when he doesn't believe her... I wonder how and why they broke up.
Sam is here far from that confident guy who wants to shine that we saw until now. He's already grown, but at the same time he's pessimistic because he's going through some dark times. He still needs to find balance. Perhaps Lina will help him?
