Softly, familiar sounds of cicadas singing at the distance reach your ears along with a pain that resumes to throb throughout your body, a sensation of comfort indicates that you're in somewhere safe and the smell of food quickly confirms that this place is home.
Trying to open your eyes you hear Mélanie call for Irene. Handing the baby to Mélanie and then placing her hand over your forehead, checking your temperature, Irene says:
- Easy babe. you're feverish, try not to move much.
- Where... where are the others? And the beast?!
With this last part your heart begins pounding and upon trying to get up you realise how weakened you are. Irene tending to you, says:
- Don't worry, they're at the village and ever since you guys went after the beast nobody saw it again.
Whilst you calm down, Mélanie hands the baby back to Irene saying:
- I'm going to tell Jean that Orion is awake.
With the baby in her arms, Irene sits down by your side and holds your hand affectionately, you look to her and your son feeling happy to see they're well and, for a moment, completely forgets about the rest of the world. Looking now to your surroundings you seem to be on the couch at the living room, noticing baskets scattered all over the place you point at one of them and asks:
- What is this?
- Today morning me and Mélanie decided to give the surplus of our harvest to the families of the farmers that died during the attack. We've heard that because of strange noises coming from the forest near their farms, they had been rushed to move into the village so we thought in helping them.
A light headache begins to cause you sleepiness but, worried with what Irene said, you try to stay awake asking:
- Noises?
- Yes, some of the guards think it was just animals fighting but decided to tell all the villagers to barrage their doors and windows and stay on alert for anything suspicious. They even came here asking for us to stay within the village's walls until you've returned and we've even had planed to do so today morning but then you showed up and...
Whilst Irene speaks you feel more and more exhausted as if your body suddenly realises it isn't well, you try to stay awake but soon all of your senses mix into a void and your mind shuts down.
