The other members behind Davis scatter and search the house. The boy points out the basement door, and as they opened, the missing children are found. Nine kids in total are loaded to a van to return to their homes.
As the boy looked back on what had happened, he went to Davis and asks him, “Can they be heroes, even if it meant killing bad people?”, Davis was shocked upon what the boy had asked.
He went on eye-level with the boy and answered, “Look, not all people are tasked to kill bad guys to be heroes.”, Davis pauses for a deep breath. Then adds, “Being a hero means that you are doing good things for the people, making them happy from any situation. Such as helping the sick, helping people on making their days better,”, “Even saving lives?”, the boy adds, to which Davis replies confidently, “Yes, even saving lives.”, Davis couldn’t help but be happy for the boy starting to learn the difference.
Davis stood up and asks, “Shall I take you home?”, the looked away as he asked. Davis notices that there is something wrong, he went back down to the level of the boy and politely asks, “Is there a problem?”, the boy hesitantly answered, “I don’t wanna go home.”, Hearing those words concerned Davis more.
As they sat on the sidewalk, the boy confesses the problems with his problematic parents. Hearing the boy’s issue with his parents, Davis asks, “Have you ever asked anyone for help?”, to which the boy replied, “No. I don’t see anyone believing in me, even if I tell.”, Davis couldn’t ignore the frustrations the boy is handling from his parents. “I’ll believe you.”, The boy looked at Davis, shocked at his reply. Still caught in disbelief, the boy asks, “How can you be so sure?”, Davis couldn’t help but smile and put his hand on the boy’s shoulders and answers, “Because you relied on me that you told me everything.”, “Just trust me, and I’ll be your hero.”, Davis’ words opened the eyes of the boy that he sees a bright future under his guidance.
“What is your name?”, Davis asked politely. The boy answers, “Konstantine.”, “Well Konstantine, I’m Davis, and I swore to be there for you for life.”, The boy named Konstantine hugs Davis without hesitation, and Davis hugs back swearing on himself that he’ll be in that boy’s life.
Back to Present
“From there your parents are reported for child misconduct and abuse of alcohol.”, Sir Davis narrated what happened after. “And the previous boss was nice enough to have my needs while you were away.”, Konstantine adds.
As Sir Davis turns his chair to him, he tells Konstantine, “You’ve grown well boy.”, He went off his seat and leans to Konstantine adding, “You now have people who rely on you to become their hero.”, hearing this, Konstantine replies, “That’s because you passed it down on me when you became promoted as the executive president.”, Konstantine moves closer to Sir Davis, puts his hands on Sir Davis’ shoulders, and says, “Even with that, you are still my hero. And I’ll come to you whenever I need help with anything.”, Hearing those words, Sir Davis pulls Konstantine for a hug.
As they let go from the hug, Sir Davis proposes, “I believe that this is the time you finally have your break.”, "Are you serious?”, Konstantine replied. “You’ve worked your ass off for two years, a month of break is enough to make you come back with more enthusiasm when you come back. What do you think?”, Sir Davis explained to Konstantine. Konstantine thinks on the decision and proposes, “Make it two.”, “Done.” Replied quickly by Sir Davis.
As Konstantine exits the elevator, he went to his secretary. The documents on Riley’s dest got less, Konstantine approaches and asks, “How’s the work going for you?”, “Same as always. Making sure everything on the record is in a match to your mission results.”, Riley replies.
Konstantine sighs and tells Riley, “Sorry to tell you this Riley, but…”, as he hesitates, Riley looked at Konstantine in the eyes, then continues, “I’ll be on break for two months, effective immediately.”, as Riley heard Konstantine, he yelled, “WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?”, and that concludes the working hours of Konstantine at PSA.
