Part One;
The words from the walls
Andras lay on his bed happily humming to a faint Frank Sinatra song playing in his earbuds. He had a home here, this he was sure of. Finally his mind settled into a sleep Andras slept peacefully to the song My Way. But then, five hours later;
“Andras”
“Teddy”
“Wrong”
“Who are you”
“Oh, you know who I am. Trust me” The voice chuckled.
Andras sat up looking around frantically.
“Whos there”
“You disappoint me Andras” The voice seemed to come from the walls.
“It couldn’t be” a cold metal was now being held to his throat, a knife. The person’s hand was clamped over his mouth.
“Oh it could” Andras let out a silent scream, the hand grasped harder.
“Shh, you're safe with me… for now” The man dragged him through the house, even carefully locking the door on his way out. Andras struggled his arms free only to get bashed into the pavement, and tied up. The man then slid a gag over his mouth. He whimpered looking his abductee in the eyes.
“Refresh your memory” Then he tied a blindfold around his eyes. He was back, Five, he followed him. He could feel himself being thrown into a trunk, the door slamming violently. Five then drove off, pausing only once at a stop light.
Part Two;
Late Riser
“Hey Andras! Don’t you have work today?” Teddy knocked on the door, instead he was met with the door sliding open. The bed sat empty, Andras’s phone and earbuds strone on the floor. His blankets were tattered and on the floor. An obvious sign of struggle…
“Andras…” Teddy whispered under his breath. He looked around frantically, running a hand through his hair.
“How, I was here all night”
Teddy now sat on Andras’s bed, thinking through possibilities. He took out his phone dialing for Prudence.
Part Three;
We meet again
Andras was hazy, he was still tied up. But not gagged or blindfolded.
“Five, stop this, please” The gangly man walked over, seemingly cheerful.
“Stop what, idiot? It was bound to happen”
“Why do you do this?” Andras shouted, he still had fear on his face.
“Why not?” He chuckled, slipping the cloth back over his mouth.
“You talk too much” Five then bound up a set of stairs, leavin what appeared to be a basement.
Part Four;
A change in MO
Teddy paced in his office, taking nervous sips of his coffee.
“Sir,” Adam Bartlett was sitting in one of the chairs expectantly.
“You called for a meeting?”
“Y-yes,” Teddy paused, he seemed restless.
“Okay, hon, start from the beginning” Clem cooed. Teddy smiled worriedly, she was a sweet woman. Though, she was aged in a motherly kind of way.
“My flat-mate went missing”
“What does this have to do with the case?” Adam retorted.
“Everything!” Teddy snapped, Adam was taken aback.
“It was his signature, risky capture, taken without a sound or trace of DNA” He had begun to pace again.
“The unsub’s victims are primarily women, there have been no male bodies located” Adam had a disinterested look on his face.
“I swear, agent, this was the same thing, just a slight change in MO”
“That completely fucks up the victomology” Lance added.
“That's going from a sexual sadist, to a psychopath without a motive” Adam continued his statement.
“Both of you shut up” Sarah barked from the back of the room, the two froze looking offended.
“Go on, detective” she said kindly.
“What?! You’re actually buying this-”
“Merriweather!” Lance shut his mouth quickly, shifting in his seat.
“Thank you, agent Collins,” Teddy nodded.
“Anyway” He slid over the case board.
The night had crept up and the group of agents left the building. Clem tapped on Teddy’s shoulder meekly. He turned to face her, her cheeks blushing madly.
“Hey, Edward” Teddy laughed.
“Nobody’s called me that in years, you can just call me Teddy”
“Oh-ok… uhm, I was thinking maybe we could… get a drink sometime?” She shuffled her feet a bit.
“Oh...uh” He hesitated.
“I’m really stressed with Andras missing, I wouldn’t be much fun. Maybe once we find h-him” He replied lightheartedly.
“Oh-Oh of course, i’m so sorry”
“No, don’t be”
“I just thought you liked.. I dunno, girls” she was worried.
“N-no, wait woah. I do, just not right now”
“Yeah, yeah okay sorry”
(authors note: AWKWARD)
Part Five;
Paranoia strikes deep
Teddy sat on the sofa, looking through the case file. His phone rang;
“Hello?” silence.
“Hello, anyone-”
“Teddy” He froze.
“Andras, oh my god are you okay? Where are you?” He got up, beginning to pace worried.
“Teddy, I-” it hung up.
“Damn it!” he threw his phone at the sofa.
