Hey all!
We wanted to get this up for Pride Month and we’re gonna be honest, it’s been a rough one. So we’re going to post the art as-is, which is still really dope.
Pride has taken many different forms over the years. This year, as the Covid pandemic still affects our daily lives, we’re not getting to participate in our usual fun activities like parades and parties. However, we’re a resilient bunch and we can still find ways to celebrate our pride in different, unique ways.
Also, as we should every year, but this year especially, we shouldn’t forget that “The First Pride Was a Riot”, as they say. Our celebration of pride month is also a way to remember the trans black women and other queer folx that took that first leap into civil unrest that created effective change. Our pride and our efforts, as always, should be intersectional.
Stay strong, be proud, and celebrate responsibly.
