Zhang Lin was planning to go hire some people to act as his bodyguard to protect him before he goes to the Zhang's mansion since he knew that it was not safe for him to go alone. Not long after he left the restaurant, Zhang Lin heard someone calling him from behind.

"Young master is that you?"

Turning around, Zhang Lin saw a middle aged lady staring at him but he didn't know the lady. Recalling the original host's memory, the middle aged lady was Shu Ying's personal maid called Jie.

Jie was the same age as Zhang Lin's mother. She has been serving Shu Ying ever since she was a teen. Although she was Shu Ying's maid, Shu Ying has always treated her like a sister.

Nodding his head, Zhang Lin called out to the middle aged lady, "Auntie, Jie."

Jie quickly ran forward and hugged Zhang Lin while sobbing. "Where have you been? Auntie has been looking for you."

"I..I.." Zhang Lin didn't know what to tell Jie as he didn't want to make her worry since she has been a good sister to Shu Ying.

"Alright...Alright. You don't have to say it."

Nodding his head, Zhang Lin asked, "Auntie, Jie why are you here?"

"I was looking for you. After I came back from informing your mother's family about her death, I came back, but you were gone. I was very worried about you, thus I searched everywhere for you but couldn't find you anywhere. So just now, I went back to the Zhang's mansion and was kicked out. Since you and your mother are no longer there, of course I don't want to go back, but just now Li Na and her mother were trying to burn all of your mother's belongings. I tried to stop them, but I was kicked out." Jie said while crying.

Zhang Lin instantly felt angry upon hearing Jie's word. "Auntie, I will go take a look."

"Let me go with you."

Shaking his head, Zhang Lin said, "No. Auntie you should go back and take a rest."

"But.."

"For me and my mother's sake, please listen to me."

"Alright. Then, be careful."

Nodding his head, Zhang Lin went to the Zhang's mansion. He had totally forgotten about his intention of wanting to hire people as his bodyguard before he goes to Zhang's mansion since he needs to head over there quickly before the pair of mother and daughter burn all of Shu Ying's belongings.

Despite having a hard time when it comes to direction, with the original host memory it didn't take that long before Zhang Lin found the Zhang mansion.

Upon arriving at the Zhang mansion, Zhang Lin happens to encounter Li Na at the door.

Li Na's face darkened when she saw Zhang Lin and voice out, "Yo..what is this slut doing here?" Shouldn't he be serving that old man? But she kept the last part inside in fear that people might hear her insult the emperor.

"Watch your word." Zhang Lin said as he quickly stepped inside as if he was the boss. Turning around he asked, "Where's my mother's belongings?"

"Oh..those dirty stuff? Hahaha...it was all burned up." Li Na said pointing to the pile of burned ashes.

Upon hearing Li Na's word, Zhang Lin was so angry. He quickly ran toward a pill of burned ashes to see if anything could be save, but unfortunately everything had been burned.

"Stop!" Li Na yelled.

But of course, Zhang Lin didn't stop and ignored Li Na as if she didn't even exist.

Seeing Zhang Lin's action, Li Na became extremely angry as she yelled, "Servants, come tie him up!"

Hearing their young master's order, the servants quickly surround Zhang Lin and tie him up.

Seeing Zhang Lin being tied up, Li Na came forward and sneered.

"How dare you to ignore my word." Li Na said, lifting a foot and stepping on Zhang Lin's back.

"Who do you think you are? I suggest you all release me right now before I report you all to his majesty." Zhang Lin tried his luck to use the emperor as a means to scare them.

"Hahahahah. Report? Do you think the emperor would notice your existence? Do you even have the guts to do so? " Li Na asked while using more force.

"You can try me." Zhang Lin spoke in a confident tone, but he was sweating on the inside.

"Really? Haha...Fine, since you want to play then I will play with you. Let's see how long you can last. Servants bring him to the back room."

"Yes."

Zhang Lin was dragged to an old and broken house behind the Zhang mansion and was tied to a chair.

"I will deal with you later." With that Li Na left. "Make sure he doesn't get away or else you guys will have to take his place."

"Yes." The servants said in unison.

Inside the palace grand audience hall, the emperor sat in the dragon throne.

"Greeting to the emperor of Qin." Yan Lu said.

"You may rise, crown prince, Yan."

"Thank you your majesty. I am here as an ambassador for Tan country. To show our sincere desire to form allies with Qin country, my father sent me here as a representative. We are willing to do an exchange with Qin country if your highness agrees to a few of the conditions that we have."

The meeting between the emperor and Yan Lu lasted for about half an hour.

After the meeting was over, instead of staying in the palace as a guest, Yan Lu left the palace along with his personal guard, Tong and headed straight back to Tan country.

"Crown prince, why are you in such a rush to go back to Tan country? Didn't you want to find that Zhang...Zhang Lin?" Tong asked.

Hearing Zhang Lin's name, Yan Lu pause and turn to look at his trusted guard as he said, "Of course, I wanted to find him, which is why I am rushing back to Tan country to report our conversation with the Qin Emperor to my father, so that I can come back as soon as possible to find Zhang Lin."

Inside the emperor's study hall, the emperor was still working on the pile of petitions.

"Your majesty, it's time for you to eat." The eunuch said to remind the emperor.

"Empress dowager's permission?"

"Ye..Yes. The day after the empress dowager's birthday banquet, concubine Lin went to see her and ask for her permission to go out of the palace."
