Non-Tolerance: Bulling Gone Wrong

Non-Tolerance: Chapter 9

Non-Tolerance: Chapter 9

Jul 13, 2020

~ Ethan

"Is something wrong?" asked Violet looking concern.

"My older sister returned home," Sherri said in a emotionless tone still looking at her phone.

"That's good, right?" I asked, unsure what to make of her sudden change in mood. I couldn't really see her face really well.

The Kio bumps into me as we both get push to the side by a sudden crowd who surrounded Sherri taking pictures.

"What's going on?" I said looking at Kio as his mood turned from laid back to serious. He was trying to keep his eyes on Sherri who we were losing sight of.

A boy in front of us called out, "It's just like chapter 15, the look is just right."

Both Kio and I felt someone pulling us out of the crowd. We notice it was Vic and his friend taking us to his table where Violet who also escape the crowd.

Vic turned towards the crowd, "This is problematic."

"Brother, we have to help Sherri," yelled Violet, "That was not good news she has gotten during that call."

"Yeah, but how can we get to her?" Vic asked outloud, "That look she is doing is perfect, a great copy from Gale's face from chapter 15."

"Damn, seems like I'm late," said a tired out voice.

We all turned to see James who was dragging Decon along, who had lots of lipstick kisses all over his face.

"Why are you dragging me here," he bluntly said, "I already said hi to her."

"Is she the one being surrounded, Miss?" James asked Violet calmly.

"Yes this happened when she got a call from her parents about..." answered Violet.

"A sister? Yeah, I met her when I was walking pass her house," said James, "I ran all the way here to tell her, I forgot her cell number."

"Fuck that bitch is back," Decon voice went dark, "I can already tell what face she is making."

"So? Are we getting her out or what?" I interrupted.

"We might get kicked out for doing it our way," James smiled at Decon.

"Punching all these nerds would be fun," laugh Decon.

"Um...something is happening, look." I said as we all watched how the crowd made a little pathway towards Sherri. I see why they seem to be concerned, she was holding her head, bobbing back and fort.

"Crap, Pills!" yelled Decon, "Where are her pills!!"

Violet threw Sherri's purse to decon and he catches it.

"Hey get out of the way," screamed Decon, as he gets stuck in the crowd.

"Decon, give it to me!," Decon turns to me, "I'm small enough to get in."

Before Decon could respond to me, we heard the crowd get real quiet. Both Decon and I looked ahead at the crowd give way to a figure carrying a person. As he came close I was a little shocked about who it was.

"Kio!," I gladly yelled while running towards him.

:Hold her still," said Decon coming up from behind me, "RiRi open up, come on," as he puts two pills in her mouth and gave her some water."

She starts to calm down and gently laids her head on Kio's chest. I looked up to Kio's face and notice how soft and calm it was, it's been a couple of years since I saw his face like that. James hits Kio on the back as he moves Sherri's hair out of her face.

"Good job, kid," he said, "For someone so tall, I couldn't see you diving into that crowd."

Violet came up and grabbed Sherri's hand. A light smile appeared on her face when Sherri tighten her grip.

Sherri's eyes opened and she looked around, "So...Sorry," she said looking to the side shyly, "I kind of went blank back there."

James messed with her hair, "If you need a place to stay for awhile, my place is open."

"What are you saying, you dumbass," yelled Decon, "She won't feel any safer there with those demons you call brother."

"She can stay at my house if it makes you feel better," Violet pulled on his shirt.

"It...It would," Decon said shyly.

"No," sighed Sherri as she looks at Kio who puts her down to her feet, "Thanks." She looks at James and Decon, "I promise mom, I'll be there tonight."

"Man, you would think your dad would understand why you don't want nothing to do with your sister right now," James complained as he grabs her head and slams it to his chest. I felt Kio's mood change again and as I looked at him, he stares at them and looks away pissed.

"James, I'm going to warn you once," Decon said as he is trying to pull her away from him.

I was staring at them playfully fighting over her and it's like they are not the same violent brutes that plague the school.

Sherri manage to get away from them with a light smile on her face, "Okay, ha ha, Okay stop."

"There goes that smile, well I'm going back to maid cafe." Decon said while turnig his back, "Golden eyes is looking forward to seeing me again."

"Yeah, they are train to say that stuff to guys like you," James joked while walking away with Decon waving back to us.

I wondered why they don't act like that at school, I bet they would have been very popular. Maybe I might never know about the true faces of Decon and James. Whatever event that had happen before might have change all of their outlooks, that event that has Sherri taking pills and seem to hate her sister for. I hope one day, she will share this past when she is ready with us; that might happen if we get to know her.
