The wolf clansmen backed up another few steps. Their eyes were glued to
the light on my chest. For men who wanted to do nothing but cause Kai grief
they knew how to back down quickly. It was funny seeing these arrogant
men with their tails between them like little dogs.
"How is a primate wench able to give off this kind of power?"
Kai glanced up at me, making sure I was still alright due to the release of so
much power. To be honest it felt nice to let off some steam.
"I will give you one more chance to leave or else."
Two of the wolf clansmen took off running as the third stood there. His rage
had taken over him, causing his reasoning to leave. I tap Kai's head, asking to
be placed back onto the ground. The wolf clansman was snarling as his form
was shifting into his beast form. Watching his clothes tear as his body was
constricting into the shape of a five foot wolf. If I'd seen this happen right
after coming it might have scared me.
I glance back to Kai giving him a smile, also telling him to move back. The
wolf doesn't give me much time, as it runs toward me lunging at my throat.
Why did everyone always aim for the throat? Closing my eyes I picture the
energy within my body as Kai instructed me. It was like a raging fire waiting
to be released. The flames burned brighter as my anger towards the wolves
came forth. Now was the time to release that energy. Opening my eyes there
is a brilliant light that engulfs the wolf in mid-air. Howls of pain are heard as
I stood there not moving a muscle.
"I told you I would do something if you weren't wise enough to leave. This is
what all who acts superior to someone else due to their birth deserves."
Kai walks over placing a hand on my shoulder as I finally take in a calming
breath. This whole time it felt like my body wanted to release more of the
rage but I had to keep it contained to a certain degree. Looking down the
wolf had been burned to ashes. All the townsfolk stood around gawking at us.
Although it was very apparent they were actually looking at me. My chest
was still slightly glowing.
Placing a hand to my chest the light faded away. If I had let the full power out
what would have happened to all these innocent people? Just the thought of
killing so many people who did nothing wrong hurt me. As if reading my
mind Kai wrapped his arms around me into a hug.
"You did good to control yourself. Let's get out of here before any more
problems happen."
You really didn't need to tell me. He didn't give me a chance to walk, placing
me on his shoulder again. Sometimes he had a very lovely habit of treating
me as if I was a small child. Not that I am complaining about being up on his
shoulder. It would be nice if for once Kai would ask me if I wanted to be here.
The townsfolk backed away when he started to walk. Some of them had pure
fear in their eyes, while others were just amazed. Kai didn't act like he even
noticed but knowing him he saw everything.
He didn't let me down even when we reached the city limits. Sadly my little
fight meant we couldn't stay here any longer. Although it felt so nice to put
those wolf clansmen in their place. This city was the first one I felt more
comfortable in, solely because it reminded me of a place in my world. My
parents had taken us to a small village, in it we enjoyed the same ambiance
given off.
"Can you put me down now?"
He looked up at me with a smirk. This meant I wasn't going to get my way.
Damn it why did Kai have to be so playful at times. This wasn't a bad quality
of his but sometimes it was annoying. Leaning my head down to his, I give
him a glare. It just made him laugh.
"Seriously I do know how to walk."
Kai wasn't paying attention as his laughter got louder. Getting annoyed the
closest thing to tug was his ears. There is a slight grunt from my nails
pushing against his ears as pulling.
"Agatha don't do that again."
Oh shit did I hit one of his kink spots. Nodding I started to laugh, there was a
slight blush to his face. This was the first time I'd seen him ever blush.
It wasn't super funny to Kai as he placed me down. Finally I was allowed to
walk myself. I turn towards the city taking one more look before we finally
leave. This was a road that headed towards a huge city. According to him it
would take a least two weeks to reach any kind of village. Kai was silent as we
walked for a few hours. It was not bad but I felt like he was still a little upset
at me laughing.
