This happens to me at work too! I'm a cashier, and customers will walk up to the self checkout and: think it's a normal register and expect me to scan their items for them, scan all their items at the card only stations only to ask me to void it because they want to use cash, and ignore the automated voice that tells them what to do. Kind of annoying, especially if more than one person is doing it at once. I prefer working at a normal register for this reason, even though it means I have to touch cash all day
