It was now five o'clock in the afternoon. Jack, Ethan, and Gabrial were playing basketball. At six o'clock they started walking to their homes, taking a short cut on an old dirt road, when a large black bird landed in front of them.

"Wow, look at that," Jack said, picking up a stone and threw it.

At six-thirty Luka was sitting on the couch watching tv, when Goldie came in. He came over and sat down on the couch, looking more tired than normal.

"Hey Luka, I think I'm going to bed," Goldie said, leaning back.

"O-ok," Luka said. "I can get you a blanket, or a-" She was cut off by Goldie snoring. Luka rolled her eyes. She turned off the tv and the lights, before walking up the stairs, to watch tv in her room. Luka fell asleep with the tv on around ten.

The next morning at six, when Luka woke to her alarm clock, there was a show on the television selling antiques. She sighed, clicked it off and stumbles sleepily to the bathroom. Half an hour later when she came downstairs, the lights were still off, and there was no smell of anything cooking, indicating Goldie was still asleep, so she just made her self a quick bowl of cereal before walking out the door.

School, was normal that day except she couldn't help but notice that Jack wasn't there not to mention Ethan and Gabrial both looked rather shaken, they were also staying strangely quiet, they didn't even look at her the whole day.

"Goldie, what did you do?" She asked when she came in.

"Wha-What?" Goldie asked confused, turning away from whatever he was cooking.

"What did you do to those boys, you know the ones who were bullying me?" Luka asked.

Suddenly Goldie bent over laughing.

"W-why are you Laughing?" She asked.

"Those boys are morons." He said laughing.

"What do you mean?" Luka asked.

"I didn't even touch them, they ran away almost as soon as they saw me." Goldie chuckled.

"So why wasn't Jack at school today?" Luka asked.

"The idiot tripped and broke his leg," He laughed.

"So you didn't hurt them, you just scared them?" She asked.

"No, I don't hurt children, Not since, well, you know," Goldie said.

"Yeah I know," Luka said.

"Come sit down dinners ready." He said.

She sat down, and Goldie placed a plate with a cheese omelet. While she ate she talked to him.

"So why don't you hurt children anymore?" Luka asked.

"It's not just children I don't hurt people, I swore never to hurt a person again after what I did to those poor boys. "I was going to bury them, but the bodies were taken before I could." He said.

"Can you tell me, what you did, to scare Jack and his friends so much?" Luka asked.

"Nothing really just my normal look." He said, and sure enough he turned back into the wolf.

“So why were you so tired?” Then she asked.

“I just like napping is all” Goldie answered.

It had now been an hour Luka was sitting on the couch watching tv, Goldie was laying next to her with his head on her lap. Luka was scratching him behind the ears while he slept. About four hours later, Luka woke Goldie up, and he followed her up the stairs. When they got to her room, Luka asked if he could stay in there with her he agreed. When Luka got in bed He curled up at the foot of the bed.

It was about midnight when Goldie was alerted to the sound of Luka whimpering. He looked up, she seemed to be in the middle of a nightmare.

He hopped up on to the bed and started nuzzling her face, till she woke up. When she did wake up Luka was sweating and crying she hugged him, around the neck and started sobbing.

Goldie managed to change into his human form, he carried her into the kitchen, and a few minutes he gave her a mug of hot chocolate.

"Were you having a nightmare?" He asked.

"Yeah I think, I really don't remember," Luka said.

After Luka finished her cocoa, Goldie and her, walked back up the stairs.

Goldie hopped into the bed, and Luka leaned against his side, the rhythmic sound of his heartbeat, quickly had her falling asleep.

The next few days were uneventful, Goldie made her breakfast and dinner every day, she was no longer bullied. By Thursday Goldie was still sleeping in her room. For some reason, she'd started having nightmares whenever he wasn't in her room during the night.

It was Friday Luka had just finished her breakfast and was preparing to go to school, Goldie was also preparing to leave. Before he left he told her. "Remember you can come by anytime." And just like that he had left.
